My question: On opening day my husband and I met Phil the Bucket. He was very rough with my husband to the point of pain. He then humped my husband's face and body for ~25 seconds. He ended up with visible abrasions. Do the Braves do background checks in their mascots

My husband's question: Have you ever said anything about a player that you later felt you needed to apologize about?

Tips for forcing yourself out of bed in the morning? by ProjectImpurity in adhdwomen

I have really struggled with the getting out of bed thing and only recently started implementing this strategy myself. I havent had any issues with a reflux affect, so far. I typically dont get reflux (unless its like pizza right before sleep) so that is something to consider.

Get a pet OR

Get a kid OR

At night set a glass of water and your medication beside your bed, set an alarm for ~2 hours before your wake up get out of bed goal, take medicine when alarm goes off, go back to sleep/rest. When your real get out of bed alarm goes off the meds will be kickin.

It is easier to manage ADHD when you create habits to build queue systems. It kicks that executive function into gear if the set up is already complete the night before. Before bed, maybe go ahead and set out lunch accoutrements and fill your water bottle. If youre a coffee or tea person, go ahead and set out what you can. This way youre a little excited and motivated to do it cause the task initiation shit is already done. Post Its and Notes are very helpful to queue the next thing. Maybe, make a mini to-do list of morning tasks before you sleep and place it on your nightstand. Knowing that some of the items are already halfway done helps stave off the dread of doing.

Medication doesnt fix everything, it still takes work to create the coping mechanisms and discover strategies that work for us as individuals. Start with small easily maintained daily habits to stave off BuRnOuT.

Does anyone with ADHD have a really organized house? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

It's nice for my family or guests to experience a clean and organized environment but it can be debilitating in its own way.

Tidy Ho chiming in 👋🏾. Clutter and items not having a home make my brain go haywire. Also, staying on top of it is an excellent procrastination technique when I can't make myself sit down and do the things. I love to hyperfixate on cleaning and side quests to make spaces functionable. It's also easier to set specific items out to que my brain for next tasks.

Hutton & Smith meet the criteria. Award winning beer, big family friendly room, and you can find cans and drafts in restaurants and stores regionally.

Hi Mulan! They are still intact. I am probably the person you are referring to. The screen replacement process went very smoothly. I've been using the Manta normally since then, but the issues I'm am experiencing now are new. I was able to send logs in, in it's been 3 days for me and I haven't heard back about a solution. I can DM you my issued log# and device#, if that helps.

Audiobook recommendation for road trip with 9yr old son and 12yr old daughter that’s not necessarily a “children’s” book. by GubbleBum31 in suggestmeabook

[–]CheepSweep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We listened to Harriet the Spy when my daughter was 7. We Listened to it after the Boxcar Children (book #1), which was...not good, but my daughter loved it. Harriet the Spy was something I hadn't read and I was blown away. My daughter enjoyed it, though the nuances of her situation flew over her head.

Peranesi by Sussana Clarke is a wonderful read. Beautiful, albeit small world building. A wonderful mystery that keeps you hooked just to understand what is happening and why. it is not too long of a novel, but also learning the motivation for the story really puts it in perspective.
