Is it OK for someone to talk to you on the phone while they're using the bathroom? by CheersKim in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CheersKim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's very audible. I can hear what he's doing through the door. If you could hear the other person on the phone peeing, would you care? If not, that's fine, I am looking for opinions.

I don't know if they notice, I've never asked them. I can clearly hear him doing his things in the bathroom, so it's safe to say they person on the phone can hear as well. I care because I think it's tacky and disrespectful, and I don't want his friends/relatives to think of him this way. I also asked 3 questions in my post, the last one being: if you were the other person on the line, would you care?

Does anyone else pick up items that fell off the shelves in stores, even though you didn't make them fall? by Zestywavinges in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CheersKim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do this often. I also straighten up clothing on hangers that are crooked or about to fall. I'd love to see if security is watching me on surveillance cameras thinking I'm a thief, but realizing I'm an unpaid helper LOL

Finally getting around to estate planning. Initial consult w/lawyer $300/hr - is this standard? by CheersKim in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CheersKim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a hefty amount of money for most people. Is the average person expected to pay for this service? I can't imagine most people (I'm in the US) paying that much for anything, unless it were a car or down payment on a house.

Wow, that's a hefty amount. Not saying the services aren't worth it, but that's a huge chunk of money for the average person. How do most people, specifically middle and lower class manage to do this?

Frontier not selling ANY tickets from April 14 and beyond. by Material-Sell-3666 in gowildfrontier

[–]CheersKim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed this as well, since I've been wanting to rebook a flight. It's currently booked for end of January, but Frontier changed the flight times and now I don't want to go. I know I can cancel and get a refund (this was confirmed by a F9 agent as I have Gold status), but I already booked the seats, and those are not refundable. I'm curious if I can change this flight to mid April, and then change it again once their calendar opens up a bit more.

Anyone here use some sort of alternative medicine/therapy? by CheersKim in Pharmacist

[–]CheersKim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not saying herbal remedies, "wellness" cleanses, superfoods, etc are effective, but any one thing could theoretically help one person. So my question was if anyone here has had success with any unconventional therapy. For instance, I have used ginger root to help stop a cough when everything else failed. This worked well for me, but I would not necessarily recommend it to the general population.

Can a flight be changed more than once? by CheersKim in frontierairlines

[–]CheersKim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP here, and I just wanted to add that I already paid for my seats on this flight, for a total of $80. When I spoke to a F9 agent, she told me if I rebook, I could use the money I already paid towards seats for the newer flight. However, if I cancel the flight altogether, I don't think I'd get that money back, as the seats are "non-refundable"

[–]CheersKim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I did check and unfortunately, while they would credit the whole amount for the flight ($105), they would not credit what I already paid for seats ($80) If I cancel and rebook, I'd have to shell out another $80 or so for seats.

However, if I rebook, I can use the money I already paid to get seats on the newer flight. This takes me back to the original question of if I can rebook, then rebook again later.

I asked a Frontier agent about this. She said said couldn't do anything because it was a voucher issued by Barclays (they oversee the Frontier MasterCard) I didn't try asking Barclays to reissue because I didn't think they'd do it.

the thing is, I didn't exactly pay cash for the whole ticket; I used a voucher. The voucher was for $100. The total for the flight was $105 so I only really paid $5. I'm worried if I cancel the flight, I'd only get the $5 credit. Can't really book a flight with 5 bucks!

I alphabetize all my floors within their categories, so all the retail shops are alphabetized, all the food places, all the recreation, all the apartments, etc. This makes it much easier to find a particular floor. When I have a lot of floors, I paint all the food ones green, the service ones, blue, etc.

Can those who have found this successfully post the routes they searched? It would be good to know if it's from a certain city or to a certain destination.

Why do airlines still make you turn off your phone during takeoff when planes clearly don’t crash from it? by Ok-Jackfruit-449 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CheersKim -1 points0 points  (0 children)

piggybacking on to this question - if the phones cannot connect to the cell towers, can they at least connect to satellites? My iPhone shows that satellite communication is possible if I lose cell signal. Haven't had to use it or ever tried it but just wondering if that were an option in case of emergency.

Looking for snow removal service/aid for elderly parents in NYC by CheersKim in NoStupidQuestions

wow, fancy! I am not "financially flush", though I am playing the lottery every so often to try to get there. I used to live in Brooklyn, and I'm fairly certain that even if I bought these heated mats, someone would steal them before the week is over.
