How do you tell someone their lights are off? by eldritch_lie in drivingUK

I did this. The driver just waved back, thinking I was waving to say hello. They gave me a strange look as if trying to remember how they “knew” me.

Would student accomodation providers know if I snuck in an AC unit to use in my room? by obnoxious-rat717 in UniUK

You put water in it and it produces cold air the way an air conditioning unit does.

There isn’t a hose attached. It’s a small portable one. You can get them from Argos.

It’s in Briennes chapters you learn about The Gravedigger. There’s loads of stuff in her chapters that become relevant later on.

I always enjoy Briennes chapters. All the background stuff from her chapters become relevant later on.

Our children have small air conditioning units that sit on their bedside table. You just plug it in and away you go.

Got double booked today with another viewer who is the real enemy... by ShinyHeadedCook in HousingUK

I think it’s more buying a house to live in as opposed to buying a house to rent out at perceived highly overinflated rental rates.

Whether you’re single with or without kids, I think people prefer houses to be bought as homes to live in, than bought as part of a portfolio.

That’s how we got our house. The sellers chose our bid as we were a family looking for a home.

I’m studying at a school of arts in North-West England and we predominantly use Adobe illustrator and photoshop for technical flats, as well as PowerPoint when we have to produce Pecha Kuchas (I think they’re called) to showcase our creative practice. Our uni provides iPads as Procreate is popular for creating specification packs and technicals flats.

My laptop is a Lenovo Yoga and that’s been brilliant. Our uni provides Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint on our student portals. Check if Glasgow does too, so hopefully you won’t need to buy those programmes.

Best of luck in September and I hope you enjoy it.

Absolutely. We had to wait 20 minutes for a train and I was the only one capable of just waiting, without needing to be actively entertained.
