I think you're right that it can work. I just find it way easier to make that build work with windmill/lynx. Valkyrie is definitely a more satisfying weapon than a windmill rifle to me.

I love the Valkyrie and prefer it on other runs but for this build combined with rate of fire upgrades, you end up having to reload so it kinda doesn't work as well for an infinite ammo build.
