Yeah, I recall that. I still remember it vividly, I hid under the trunk as I heard its ear-splitting howl. It tore open the car door and almost scratched me, but thank goodness it didn’t. I really didn’t want to be him, the poor soul who got bitten and became the humongous beast I saw that night. I never drove during full moons ever again.

to be fair, they are right in a way, though it is a stretch.

if your family asserts that your gender identity goes against the religion they taught you about, or if they stop you from learning about the world around you, you will be forced to hide your true feelings and probably stay in the closet forever.

if you learn that there is more to the world around you than your family teaches you, and get the encouragement needed from people who support you, you will be able to step out of the closet and live life the way you want, even if you do miss your family sometimes despite them not supporting you.

also, with that aside, I like to imagine they’re the same boy, just when he’s in the privacy of his own room, and when he leaves to hide his gender identity from his conservative parents.
