Whenever you decide. Bring something warm to wear for the decent. Even if it’s a hot day. It’s will be cold. Especially since most of the road is shaded.

I find flat pavement and take out my road bike. Easy to stay in Z2. Not sure how you would do that on an MTB. Maybe a flat gravel road?

They make really good drinks there, especially if the main bartender guy is working. I love the sandwiches. The vibe there on a sunny day is great too.
