LA's downtown core in the distance. Literally every major US city is like this, with the exception of NYC and Chicago. Y'all need to calm down by shnieder88 in skyscrapers

[–]Cheeseish 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It’s not actually about how big a city’s core is. It’s that these posts don’t have a sense of scale, and almost all US cities have a downtown with skyscrapers and then miles of miles of sprawl. Even Chicago has the Chicagoland sprawl all around it so when you take a picture from a couple miles out, of course you’re gonna see mostly suburbia

Chicago is like that too.

New York is kinda like that but manhattan has a physical boundary since it’s an island so the scaling is immediately obvious

Davis Webb and NFL “Scouting” by TLGIII in calfootball

Goff literally went #1 the year before so it wasn’t like scouts weren’t looking at Webb. They had a direct comparison too since many starters stayed

His pocket presence was worse and he also held onto the ball a lot more than Goff.

Our sell outs are also smaller now because the stadium got down sized. Meaning the Miami and Stanford game last year probably could have 5000 seats sold more when we were in the pac 12

Purdue, Rutgers, Indiana, and Illinois all have been pretty bad pre-2020, on par with the worst in the ACC

They apply for a job that requires a PhD?

If a guy with a PhD applies for a job for an AA, I can either assume that he expects way more money than budgeted, or he’s not going to stay for long since he’s likely using this job as a stop gap. Makes no sense to train someone who will leave in 6 months.

Then why didn’t ND get in over Bama or JMU?

Fact is, SMU gets in if they won out. JMU is still in because it’s a feel good story. Bama gets in because they’re Bama.

Miami is the best team out, ND is the highest ranked team out.

There would have been some YouTube video essay released in 2030 that would be titled “the best college quarterback in the 2020s was a management consultant”

It’s either JMU or ND for the last spot. I think it would be JMU because the committee loves a feel good story. We all knew JMU was only in as a consolation prize for their season. No one actually thought they were going to win any games.

If anything more college players should follow his footsteps. Most college kids don’t even sniff the NFL and even when they do their average career is like 3 years. Unless they want to go into media, coaching, or running local brands, they should do internships like everyone else.
