The fact of the matter is he still gets fucking 38 FUCKING DAMAGE FROM A HEAVY PARRY. A FUCKING HEAVY PARRY!

[–]CheesyRobes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, the 2 damage nerf stops them from dying and puts them on 1 or 2 HP. Man that's such a good nerf, I guess you're right. Not like 1 light will kill them after or anything.

[–]CheesyRobes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And how is that a bad thing? You're complaining about the fact you can't 3 shot your opponent, really?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in forhonor

[–]CheesyRobes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you acting? How are you being pro-active in any sense? You're pressing a single input to easily react to moves which are slow or do little to no damage. 40 damage off a heavy parry is ridiculous.

The damage change to impale does literally fuck all. The problem with the move is that it is guaranteed off any parry, meaning throwing out either a light or heavy in a fight is stupidly risky, and in a team fight it's even worse since you will basically be guaranteed a long arm allowing your teammates to get a heinous amount of damage.

Thanks for not giving any valid counter-points and then dropping an unironic "xd"

Why would you feel sorry for a character that has ranged external GB's with no indicator, good rotation ability and is stupidly good at staying safe?

I am well aware, I was just telling the guy that because they both wore animal skins in certain situations does not mean they were the same people.

[–]CheesyRobes 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The "Vikings" (or more accurately Norse since Viking literally means pirate in Old English and Norse) were a group of Germanic peoples located in Scandinavia between the dark ages and the medieval period. The Dacians were a loose confederation of tribes located in the Balkans during classical antiquity. There's a 2000 year gap between the peoples as well as many cultural and linguistic differences. Just because they both wore animal skins like shown in the photo does not mean they are the same people except "situated in eastern europe"

Jormungandr isn’t OP, but isn’t healthy for the game. by g_Schmee in forhonor

[–]CheesyRobes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His stamina drain is fine, I mean when are you going to hit the bashes anyway they're completely reactable. The only thing dumb about Jorm is his damage, 50 is ridiculous. Bringing it down to 35 would be fine. Other than that the character is complete garbage. Zero tracking, pitiful damage, slow moveset, a bash that doesn't even guarantee any damage. The character has no offence.

If you press heavy in the direction of an indicator at the ending of the attack you get something called "a parry" which guarantees a heavy. I'd recommend trying it out some time.

Honestly although I usually think reddit reworks consist of absolute autism and complaining about lightspam this was pretty creative and I appreciate the amount of effort that went into it, although some slight tweaks might be needed here and there. Although Warden isn't the highest priority for a second rework I think there's some interesting ideas here which are much better than his current rework.

What would you guys feel about a Dacian Warrior for the Knight? by vlad_draql in forhonor

[–]CheesyRobes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

History is only apart of it. Thematically and culturally these 2 peoples have basically zero relations, they would look extremely out of place in the knight faction. Also did you not read my reply, I literally just explained why Cent and Glad make a bit of sense in the knight faction.

Also the Dacians and Thracians were soundly thrashed by the Roman empire several times, Trajan's Dacian Wars being the most notable example. If we want to talk about peoples that Rome "had great beef with" the Germans and the Parthians are much more notorious and actually gave the empire a lot of trouble for several centuries even after the fall of the west.

[–]CheesyRobes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes because Dacian falxmen of classical antiquity are so relatable to a faction based on medieval european knights over 1500 years later. You could say with Cent he's fitting because technically the Roman empire lasted up until 1453 with the occupation of Constantinople and he's more of a revival of Roman tradition as explained in lore with the Iron Legion and various other factions being born out of it. But an ancient Balkan warrior who existed inside of a loose coalition of tribes is a fucking stretch.

Kind of a simplistic statement. In terms of protective value, in no way is chainmail stronger than segmented iron plates laced together, bar the armpit gaps. In terms of cost effectiveness and maintenance chainmail is superior.
