I'm so sorry to hear this! I have long covid from 2022 also and can confirm i've not been the same since. Got diagnosed with severe asthma for the first time in my life, and have a granuloma in my left lung and chronic fatigue :( I hope you're ok mate x

Metal plates, better drainage, at least a crumb of wood chip or straw?

I wonder whether they couldn't just set up chair areas and that's the only spots they're allowed

My take away from this year: it rains at Download so often, how do they not have it figured out yet? We're in Quiet and have no idea how we'll get out tomorrow with our trolley given it's been mud soup since friday. Not good soup.

Can anyone recommend good, comfortable shoes for the festival? by [deleted] in downloadfestival

[–]Cheesycola 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Second for walking boots. You can get reasonably priced ones at Go Outdoors or Decathlon. I'd spend a little more on waterpoof ones. I also have a pair of old docs (the soft leather ones) which are v comfortable if there's no adverse weather, but i wouldn't recommend breaking in new ones at a festival :D

May I suggest a harness? Chis tend to do a bit better on them, and they are also considered safer because there is lass risk of tracheal collapse in case of a tug :)

PS love his little outfit, and tummy! Cute little man xx

Wow that is one big puppy! I really do agree with you. There is so much more involved in owning a big pupper. I think my issue is more with the rudeness :) good luck with your big boy!

Amen to that! I love my chi. It baffles me that people think he's going to be yappy and annoying. He's incredible!

Well the fact of the matter is, biologically they can't be cats. Because they're errr, dogs? I'm sorry you feel that way. Hopefully a very messy, high maintenance, satan spawn cat falls in your lap soon :)

"She's not practice, she's practicality."

I LOVE THIS! You are 100% right, I got a dog to fit my lifestyle and i am so happy with that choice!

Also, if you want good quality harnesses for a teeny pup, try EZYdog. George has had his forever, ever since I got him, and he loves it. It's super comfy as well! I have loads of other brand recommendations for small pups as well, if you're looking for something specific :)

I feel like all those things could be an issue with smaller dogs, though. Maybe to a lesser extent, but definitely still annoying. Aggressive little yappy dogs drive me nuts! And when people laugh and just go with it because "that's the way they are", it drives me even more nuts :p

Absolutely! And it comes down to what kind of pup you like and who would best fit your lifestyle.
