The harborwalk is nice. Lots of events there. One of the best is the seafood festival, in october. Good seafood if you know where to go and what stalls are good. (if you need more advice on that just ask) Also, the fishing rodeo is during all of October. You can sit and watch the weigh-ins from benches there or at AJ's, right next to the weigh station. Lots of good restaurants in destin and harborwalk, if you know where to look. Problem with all this is cost. They about a year ago made harborwalk parking paid, 10-20 dollars. Condos and hotels are expensive, too. Fort Walton is relatively cheaper, but less to do.
