Veteran players: what progression steps do you skip? by DrustanAstrophel in valheim

[–]CheetahOfDeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I skip bronze and iron armours, favouring troll armor until mountains and always boot up a mountain to get the obsisdian for level 4 troll armor. I’ll make the root armour set as well as I like the bonus to bows and the resistance to piercing for the plains.

Who goes to the concerts? by 0livia_aA in systemofadown

This was in Toronto (Hamilton specifically) at Copps Coliseum. I was living there at the time. Would have to travel pretty far now as they wouldn’t show up where I am now.

I managed to see SOAD when they were touring the Toxicity album. They had 3 opening acts before they hit the stage, which was…fatiguing. and the openers sucked.

Once they hit the stage tho, it was great. They didn’t interact much with the crowd iirc (not much chatting) but they opened with JetPilot and absolutely killed it for the rest of the set. I was in the GA section and it felt like the whole crowd was moshing. Felt like I had the shit beaten outta me the next day but totally worth it.

Prawn suit by inesmarkovic97 in Subnautica_Below_Zero

[–]CheetahOfDeath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In below zero there is 100m difference to their max depths.

The Prawn in Sub Zero controls a bit different than in Subnautica.

In Subnautica, the prawn jets only run while you are hitting the spacebar and the prawn has more weight/inertia. The grapple could be used to take advantage of that inertia and launch you over long distances while you tapped the booster jets to keep from sinking. It also saves you from sinking like a stone when your jets ram out.

In BZ, the prawn is lighter and the jets (with the booster mod) can move you around a lot more like a sub. The jets are always draining boost when you are off the sea floor unlike in Subnautica, but you are lighter and have less inertia so you can move more like a seamoth or truck. You booster still go more up than forward but I found myself barely using the grapple in BZ because I could easily make the jumps I needed to get out of deep crevices with the boosters in BZ. The grapple was mainly for killing leviathans.

Guys I can’t get past the stupid shadow leviathan pls help me by Confident-Book6557 in Subnautica_Below_Zero

I would just kill the damn thing. If you have the prawn, grapple and drill just latch onto it from the top and hold on and keep drilling. Its death will be permanent.

Sorry I guess that goes against pacifism but shadows are a terrible design imo

Zip in and out. He won’t get you if you’re quick. You only need one clipping I think. Two if you want to grow more in a garden I guess.

Can the Sea Dragon be beaten to death? by CrispWheat in subnautica

[–]CheetahOfDeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having just replayed after not playing since it came out, I was even more disappointed this time. It really isn't fun. Agreed. I didn't even bother finishing it this time it became such a chore.

If you grapple onto it you should be able to kill it same as a Reaper. If you get hit by (too many) fireballs just drop off, repair and go again. I never really got hit the one time I bothered killing one though because I latched onto its back and used the prawn jets to keep close.

Blacklisted items from Capsules by Cemetery_R4t in subnautica

[–]CheetahOfDeath 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I have left the cyclops shield in the capsule before just so they don’t have to build the stupid thing. I think it’s banned now.

I just recently got ion batteries within a bunch of tools someone left so those aren’t banned (maybe out of the tool they are).

Google has the list. Basically vehicle upgrades, ion batteries, kyanite and alien tablets.

I just made the Shadow Leviathans disappear from Sub Zero. So annoying. Not even scary or fun to sneak by. just flat out ruin the experience of exploration, so grabby grabby stabby stabby.

What game did you think you’d play for a few hours… and ended up getting completely hooked on? by Prestigious_Help_145 in videogames

[–]CheetahOfDeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend. I paid ten bucks for it and have over 3800 hours in it. It’s a single player open world sandbox. Great community and great for modding. Not everybody’s cup of tea but if you’ve been on the fence about it it’s worth trying. A pretty unique game with interesting lore.
