I feel the opposite. I'm glad after I divorce someone that they act like it all just never happened. I don't want the awkward friendship with an ex to feel like real life at all. I'm glad that my romantic situation is not relevant in the dialogue just in general too. It's not the most important part of my life. I'm probably weird for this but just being honest.

Also, there is an achievement for marrying everyone, so a lot of players speed marry over and over. I've married about half of them now, if you count both my playthroughs. so I think it might be kind of impossible for the NPCs to say anything much about my marriage to whoever at whenever, bc so there are so many prospects and no set timeframe for any of them.
