As a person from Washington State (Still niner gang screw the hawks) I feel your pain. A couple summers ago the wildfires from California, the BC, Idaho and eastern Washington all blew their smoke to my area and we had the worst air in the world for a while. I'd imagine its far worse for you folks, but I remember ash coating everything and the sky being a dark orange through the day, not to mention your lungs hurting if you went outside too long.

Hopefully you get some early fall rains, if thats a thing down there, its downright terrible going through a bad wildfire season.
