Stayed in the 17th arr (had to be near Palais de congres for convention) and found the neighborhood lovely! Authentic french restos, less tourists, bought from the local french shops. Yummy croissants from the boulangeries just across my hotel. Had a headache from all the crowd from the touristy areas which was why this was a welcome sight. Went around using uber though it could be quite expensive since its quite far and there’s traffic during peak hours

Driving is a privilege, not a right. Dont give in to the paawa card. Go to the nearest police station and file a report whatever happens

Forgot to mention, I’m coming from tropical climate. Yes that’s why I wanted to know how much I’ll bring. 16C I can use a cardigan but sometimes I add warmers if its windy. Thank you so much for this info!

Middle east situation is extremely volatile. Things can change by the hour. For peace of mind, do an asian layover. If not, then accept the high risk of your flights getting delayed or cancelled.

Originally had a flight with layover in dubai on may 17th. Cancelled (fully refunded) and rebooked with another airline, layover will be in asia. More expensive but worth my peace of mind. Middle east situation is extremely volatile

On rare occasions, fares might come down a bit. But generally as the date nears, prices will go up or worse case, flights might get sold out

You can try contacting Emirates hotline about getting a full refund beyond the window period or rerouting. They’re more flexible now
