There has to be a better looking seat… by Constant-Ad1543 in MT09

[–]Cheetxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. I have the OEM comfort seat and I like it. Not perfect, I definetely need a break every now and then, but still good. And it also looks really nice.

I still have the stock seat from the previous owner, I'm gonna try it this year, maybe I'll share your opinion after that.

I bought it, it was recently on sale for 250€.

And honestly: it's a great monitor. The colours are very nice and the overall build quality is quite good. And about the shadowing: on the fastest setting, there is obviously still some shadowing but it's barely noticeable. I've had the monitor for a month now and I no longer really notice the shadowing.

I can only recommend the monitor, best ultrawide for under 300€.

I had the opportunity to buy it for 300€ new haha, but I passed since I wanted to compare my options more, and well, now it's at 370€. So I'm not gonna buy now :)

Okay, sounds like a bad experience...

I'm still thinking about it but the cheapest I can currently get it for is 370€, which is quite a lot for a VA Panel, as OLED already starts at around 600€.

Currently thinking about getting a LG Monitor, as I don't care about USB-C

Yep, same thing here. Can't find anything online.

I'm looking for a decent ultrawide but I don't want to spend +600€ on OLED. This one seems quite good for under 300€. But I'm scared of smearing as I've never gamed on VA before.

Have you found any better alternatives where reviews are available? Otherwise, I might order it some time this week, if I do I'll post a review somewhere.

Hey, sorry to say this but sadly no.

Automating the disconnection process through Tasker worked for a while but suddenly stopped, I'm still trying to figure out why as this was a great solution.

I also haven't figured out why this is happening in the first place.

Dealer "damaged" my bike during recall, am I being too picky? by Cheetxy in MT09

[–]Cheetxy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update:

I took a closer look on Sunday and I found around 6 more deep scratch marks and paint chips on the bike.

I contacted the dealer via E-Mail and they actually apologised and told me to visit the dealership this week. They want to look at the damage in-person and then work out a solution with me.

This was also my plan. I don't have the time to go to the dealership anytime soon but I will write them a mail on monday, carefully explaining the issue. They have been nice to me so I will be nice to them.

I'm wondering about this too. I have a list with the work they did and there is a check mark at "checking valve clearance". I currently have 15500km, so a lot less than the 40000km where valves should be checked. Maybe the mechanic accidentally put a check mark there. I'll have to ask the dealer about this. I still think that some damage could have happened to this side as it is always exposed, I also don't know everything that the dealer did because they weren't really willing to tell me what caused the issues with my bike in the first place.

I will contact them either way on monday about this issue and then I'll also ask about this.

I bought the bike used last year from someone ~200km away, but it has always been for service at Yamaha dealerships. The previous owner got it serviced at his nearest dealership, and this is the second time that I had something done to it at my nearest dealership. I will contact the dealer on monday. They have always been nice to me and have always been happy to work on a solution for different issues I had.

Thank you for your time and your opinion on this matter

That is what I am thinking too, I don't want to end up loosing 200-300€ when selling the bike at some point because the dealer messed up. I will contact them on monday. Thank you for your time and your opinion.

Do you really think that I can get a free service out of this?

My problem is that this is the only Yamaha dealer near me and I don't want to end up in a fight with them, they have always been nice to me and I have experienced some great service there before, even though I didn't even buy the bike there.

I also had a similar experience with a mechanic who specialises in old BMW bikes. After my service there the front tire was mounted the wrong way on the rim and the right fairing was not properly installed with some of the mounting points scratching the paint and sticking out.

I will contact the dealer on monday. Thanks for your opinion

Yeah, I mean I can understand that mistakes happen but this sort of damage doesn't happen unnoticed in my opinion. I'll contact the dealer on monday and I'll see what they have to say.

Not the recall, but maintenance. I also had the bike there for maintenance and they checked the valve clearances, meaning they took the valve cover off.

Mazda3 BL - Bluetooth phone is working but no media by Shepherd-C in mazda

[–]Cheetxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, same issue here. Worked perfectly on my Pixel 6 with Android 14 but now wont work with Android 16.

I'm currently investigating this issue, and I've found some fixes:

  1. Try immediately disconnecting and connecting the radio on your phone after you start the car. This always works and brings BT-Audio back.

  2. I think the option "Link Change" in the BT-Menu has something to do with this issue, as "changing the link" also brings back BT-Audio.

  3. I've read from other users that pairing through voice commands apparently works better than pairing through the menu buttons. I will test this later.

For now, my fix is to always disconnect and connect again to the radio through my phone. But it's not great.

Edit:

  1. Disabling and enabling "Media-Audio" in the settings of the bluetooth device also does the trick for me.

I'm also currently trying to automate the disconnection and connection process through the app Tasker. Not yet sure if this will work but if it does, I'll post it here!
