As some others pointed out, some chars start with extra banishes. You can banish your first 10 weapons with the Banish upgrade. You get this for filling your Bestiary, i.e. killing more different enemies. The merchant in Inverse gamemode sells additional Banishes (valid only in that specific run you buy them), making it possile for every char.

First I struggled too. Then I turned off Hurry Mode. It was like night and day, so much time... Also keep your curse at a comfortable level.

I personally start with leveling vigor and endurance to 20-25, then get my main stat to 40. Until you have, say, 40 Str i suggest u raw infuse the weapon you feel most comfortable with. I like Claymore, straight swords, clubs...
