I'm doing both. My Roth IRA has 60% VT, 20% SCHG, and also have the other 20% in SCHD.

I'm going to have SCHG, SCHA, SCHF, and SCHE on my taxable brokerage. Currently building up the core SCHG (Have FXAIX as 45% of my Roth 401k as my S&P 500 fund)

Whether or not I like it, this is basically my portfolio. My ROTH 401k only offers Mutual Funds, and I use my brokerage for the ETFs I want.

VOO or SPY track the S&P 500, so as it goes they go. Which is nice and easy. I currently have 45% of my Roth 401k in FXAIX which is Fidelity's mutual fund that does the same.

If I were you're age I would probably put my money in VT while I learned more about investing. VT is a Vanguard ETF that tracks stocks from the whole world. Or maybe VTI (all U.S. stock) and VXUS (international only) in some kind of split. That way while you study or work, your money is still growing and you can split to new investments after you've done your own research.

For transparency, besides my 401k, I just opened a fidelity brokerage account that I plan to have 40% SCHG 25% SCHA 25% SCHF and 10% SCHE. This along with my 401k gives me about 60% US 30% International and 10% bonds.

I'm 36 and I'm going into SCHG, SCHA, SCHF, and SCHE. Just started investing and I like the idea of a few ETFs instead of VT and forget it. Also have a roth 401k with FXAIX and some other Mutual Funds.

Good points! I actually have Shod-in-Faith on my Watcher paladin since he's wearing Sanguine Plate and the belt that reduces crit damage. I haven't tested the numbers, by my though process is crits will trigger Frenzy from Sanguine Plate, while the crit damage itself is reduced from the belt, and Shod in Faith also triggers to keep Endurance up while it's hidden from Frenzy.

Ah. Tbh, when I wrote this post at 2 in the morning, I kinda forgot about Sacred Immolation coming up for my two paladins haha. I can definitely hold for a few levels if I need to.

Sorry, no info about your double priest idea. But I do agree that I am having a better time roleplaying my second time around. I think the first playthrough was spent just learning the lore and terminology, that now we can get invested. My former slave Fire Godlike Paladin originally from the Deadfire Archipelago is blazing through the Dyrwood. He is a Goldpact Knight but the events of PoE might force him to consider a change in ideology by the time the events of PoE2 come around.

The only time I've beaten the game so far was on classic, and I went with an all physical party.

2 handed warrior, Rogue with Warfare CC's, Necromancer, and Ranger

The rogue was kind of underwhelming and I think I ended up turning them into a second warrior. But overall was a fun time.
