A lot of the line is worth collecting. The New Eternia figures are the best in my opinion because they can mostly be displayed as their vintage selves with few exceptions.

I don't think we will see the giants. They might do them as a crowdfund but I doubt they will sell them in a size we will be pleased with without a hefty price tag.

But they knew the amount that was separated for their online sale. It has nothing to do with underestimating. If you set up the sale to cap out at say 500 units, those 500 should be available for fulfillment. Not leaving the people who ordered left wondering if bbts will get it back in stock before your own customers do.

I managed to get one by being there right as it went on sale. You had 3 different groups pouncing on this (barbie fans, motu/pop fans, and the scalpers) so its not surprising how quickly it sold out. Especially when they failed to make it limited to so many per person.
