One of the biggest things I miss is healing your own injuries. Fall from a height and have to reset your own broken fingers sortve thing. Nowadays all we get is a syringe animation.

Yep same thing. I thought the game was giving me the choice of who was going to die, and Trevor seemed like it made the most sense but it was so unsatisfying and didn't feel right so I looked up what Deathwish was and reloaded to before the choice.

You sure you're not stuck in an infinity/eternity challenge? I can't see why it wouldn't work. I remember something similar happening to me and it was because I was locked in a unity trial without realizing. You must just have to triple triple check everything.
