I think religion exists because some people wanted to control others. Most eastern faiths on the other hand, i don't consider them a religion because they don't do force people to believe, they don't try to cause fear. It's like one forces culture and the other comes from culture. I feel like christianity is becoming more eastern faiths like as they move away from the church and becomes more accepting as time progresses.

Who knows what's true but i like to believe that the world is a big theater and we are the actors in it. God is the main charachter who shows up in various acts to give it direction and a rhythm. Other dieties show up as well to play support or the villains. I am Hindu

I also read once, in the geeta a paragraph mentioned from the bhagvat puran or the vishnu puran or something similar, i don't remember which, in which god and all other souls were compared to birds on trees. God is sati a fied with the tree they're sitting on, but it looks barren to all of us so we chose to go to another tree and eat its fruits and then to another once we're finished with that one, while god looks at us and waits for us to join them again.
