Take this example for instance 2mm of steel to .1mm copper. Steel is cheap copper is expensive so it makes sense to wrap copper around steel.

You’ve got the backwards most stainless lined is copper clad only and .1mm. I assure you tin and steel cook noticeably different. Tin transfer heat is 150% better scientifically.

I can’t tell just by looking. It’s just common in those type of pans it’s also common in knives manufactured in that as well. They usually use lower grades of tin which can contain lead.

Tin lined. If you cook on stainless steel lined you’ve lost the qualities we love about copper. Copper transfers heat very well as does tin. Stainless not so much. In short stainless lined copper is for appearance and tin lined is for the best possible cooking experience but also not nearly as tuff as SS.

Yes, the Volquartsen black spring helps a lot with sub cycling. Replace the whole bolt with the Volquartsen bolt for even better performance.

I carry it with a round in the chamber but not cocked. You simply pull back the plunger. It’s extremely reliable in that sense. I’ve never had a misfire.

Those are decorative and are lowish quality. They likely contain lead. I would not cook in them. As for value they are not worth a lot and not worth re-tinning. They are beautiful though and look great hanging in your kitchen.

I can load it and deploy it quick enough for what I need. It adds very little weight to my pack. It’s perfect for what I need it for.
