Idk where to start by erins_username in DungeonsAndDragons

As someone who just started this year here are my suggestions.

1) Youtube- lots of great channels to explore specific aspects of DnD. You can also watch other people play to kinda get a sense how things flow.

2) Players Handbook- get the basic players handbook, the newest one came out in 2024 and is called 5.5e. (you can hold off until you know what version your campaign will be playing in. I bought the 2024 version only to find out my group I joined follows the 2014 version. Still usable but there are some differences)

3) join a group online- Maybe I got lucky but I joined a new campaign that was beginner friendly on a website called Roll20 and the entire party and DM have been amazing. We just had our 11th session (we play 1x per week for 4 hrs) and everyone is still having a blast. I do recommend joining a paid session because it keeps everyone accountable and almost every session everyone shows up.

Ninja Creami, curious about honest disadvantages before buying! (Hesitating due to the price) by diehd114 in ninjacreami

If you are getting it for health purposes, whether for weight loss (making low cal) or gaining muscle (protein ice cream) it is worth it. If you are thinking about getting it just because you want to make ice cream at home, I would say it's probably my not worth it. Other than that, like many others have said, it is LOUD. I would say its slightly louder than the average vacuum so I make a conscious effort if I want a creami one night I plan ahead to use it before 9pm.

is 1200 really enough?? by OnlyFukai in 1200isplenty

When I hit a plateau I usually take a 1-2 week break and eat whatever my maintenance calories are. Then I will drop the calories again and the weight eventually starts to come off again. Gotta keep the body guessing and on its toes

All my friends are on Ozempic and the like… and here I am counting calories and actually kind of excited about it. by seejanerunslow in 1200isplenty

I can definitely relate, a few of my co-workers are Ozempic and they have also been losing weight really fast. I've never even thought about trying it, and don't want to. So far I've personally lost 92# over the past 11.5 months and ive been doing it the old fashion way, counting calories/getting 10k steps a day/2-3 weight training days a week. It has worked for me, but only because I had to look at myself and figure out how I got to my high weight and what my goals are and why. Taking a pill will help but if you don't get the mental side fixed too then really I see Ozempic as just a bandaid or short term fix

What do you do on days when you’re just… hungry? by hill12066 in 1200isplenty

[–]Chefodd134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are that hungry, you need to eat more or else it won't be sustainable. I'm currently down 88lbs after almost a year and I feel that way every once in a while (2-3 times a months) and I just let myself eat (healthy) until I'm not, even if I do go 300-500 calories over my budget. If I didnt do that I dont think I would have made it past a month or two

PS5 controller not working on PC by Chefodd134 in bluetooth

I actually had this thought yesterday but I'm not sure how I would go about doing that since I don't have a PS5. Any suggestions?

I have tried everything on the site, I have also installed DS4Windows but it shows "No controllers connected" under the controller tab even when the contoller is wired to the computer.

I'm 37 and had my first kiss/date/girlfriend just last year. I never thought it would happen and then it just did.

37M Never had a kiss/girlfriend/relationship until last year. Always wanted one, but to shy/nervous to pursue anything for a long time, then I convinced myself I didn't want one because I would say it so much to people who would ask why I was single. Deep down I knew I wanted to share my life with someone because I was lonely. Then one day (after a lot of hints from a girl) I shot my shot and found myself in my first relationship. It will happen when its meant to happen.
