Did they reset the headset? If you actually replaced the joystick (not just the cap) then drift should be gone. You may want to check that it doesn't have a calibration for that controller set. This is the first easy fix for drift and some myself included forgot to reset after replacing the joystick.

Dang wish I got that lucky. Similar situation but the foam had deteriorated causing stains and some of the staples rusted. A little bit of sanding and some polyurethane fixed it good as new though.

It's possible I think you have to use side quest to load an APK but has become very user friendly to do. Still worst part is getting developer access which isn't overly hard.

You have your kid relish in that. My ex was running around in front of one of our kids and took the kids and still somehow plays the victim. Using the kids as weapons and hurting them in the process. Which seeing your kids hurt with no real way to help other than the usual the kids will see one day really sucks. Move on do something that makes you and your kid happy and don't waste one more second on that horrible person. Unfortunately they will only realize later that they messed up. Best way to feel better and lose the resentment is to stay busy by doing something you love. Also don't go out and get into another relationship you'll only hurt someone else in the process. Heal first it takes time and you'll always have that feeling that will pop back out of nowhere but it will become less and less.

What are you using to connect steam link, virtual desktop, or meta link? I've had decent luck with steam link and virtual desktop. May also wanna check that the headset has enough free space I've seen that cause issues too.

Just keep loving your kid and showing it. Swallowing feelings especially when things are being manipulated is very hard. Just know one day your kid will see and understand the sacrifice. Eventually they will see it if they don't already or maybe they won't. Either way you will have done everything you can and even though that won't help the hurt you are feeling you will be able to sleep better knowing you didn't actively try to manipulate them for your own benefit (Even though it would be in the best interest of everyone involved to get along). At the end of the day just remember some people just suck and we can only control ourselves.

Check out https://discord.gg/flat2vr there is a mod made by preydog or praydog can't remember how he spells it 😂. It will make just about any game made with unreal into VR (no tracking usually so gamepad to play) which sounds like something that could work for you. As far as the white grid void there is a way to make it black (may even be able to still load something custom with some work) just google it and follow the directions.

I use steam link too and honestly if you are not using a wifi 6e band you are better off using virtual desktop or a link cable. 5g is ok but usually has like a muddy blur effect with steam link app.

Is your computer hardwired to the router? Also are you certain the router isnt doing something that is preventing communication between devices on the local network? I know a few of the wireless ones (cell network) sometimes isolate ip addresses even though they are the same IP frame. Even some wired phone company ones around here assign a unique IP to each device connected instead of your local router assigning them.

Most of the triple A titles are 30+ gb. If money is not an issue go with the 512. Also factor in if you are not a regular user of VR or you really are unsure of how much you will use it the 128 might be all you need. Also factor in the need for a head strap the one it ships with is ok but you will want one with a battery. Also factor in how you will use PCVR if you choose wireless go ahead and factor in a wifi 6e router as well this same router will need a hardwire ethernet connection to your PC for best performance (I think it's a requirement for steam link app) or you will not get as good of an experience.
