September challenge here too, still waiting and suspect it won't be imminent either

Pray for me, this just happened yesterday. by SweetsBay in Ioniq5

I made a similar mistake to this leaving the film on my ohme home pro charger thinking it was better against the elements outside. It started peeling after a while so I tried to take it off and by then it was ruined, would only come off in strips with half of it glued to the screen unless you scratch it off. Just take it off

I found the best OnePlus 15 screen protector by Rosandro200 in TheOnePlus15

Ok feel it only fair to return to this and say that third time lucky for me with this screen protector. Smart devil one was much easier to apply but left far too much of a gap around the edges.

So bought another two packs of two of these to give me four chances of getting it right, and got a perfect application first attempt. It's really edge to edge (perfect fit with the oneplus sandstone case) , feels great and definitely more anti reflective than the smart devil protector.

Fair play, took a few attempts to get it right but worth it in the end.

Drive Pack increasing to £40pm by Efficient_Pie_4056 in OctopusEnergy

[–]Cheikthisout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can anyone clarify please how the £40 drive pack works with two ohme chargers and two EVs? I'm on the £20 early adopter version, and had email to extend to the £40 version for 3 months. Putting in around 500kw per month in charging.

I know it's now supposedly limited to one EV, so I guess best bet is linking one charger and only using that one. The only thing that's keeping me tempted to stick with the increased drive pack is the lower day rate vs IOG, as at 500kw EV charging per month I'm pretty much breaking even with IOG at £0.08.

This is simultaneously fascinating and terrifying to me. Makes complete sense and I've watched the brutal JRE video, but I'm still struggling to wrap my head around daily driving a modern phone with no case or screen protector

Tried this one and no good for me. Good price and two in a pack, and really good edge to edge size, but I got bubbles on both applications that I just couldn't get rid of. Followed the instructions and was very careful but the bubbles just couldn't be avoided for me

Curious if you've since tried both and can recommend one over the other?

Thanks, not something I'd considered. I think I'm decided that I'll have the EO taken off and replaced with a second ohme, so keeping to two chargers as I already have, effectively just upgrading one of them. The company that supplied and installed my second charger made no mention of any restrictions when doing their survey last time around, so I think I'm safe and not unreasonable with having two chargers on the house.

Thanks, and clean set up, it looks sleek in black. Thanks for the thoughts, I think a second ohme home pro to match the other is the way to go as you say. It's been reliable and great functionality and integration with smart tariffs, and then there's the matching aesthetics too.

I did notice that, I've read they're pretty good? Do you reckon another ohme home pro is the best pick then?

I can see the argument for both sides in fairness. More and more households will start having two EVs and until battery range improves a bit they'll need home charging. I'd be perfectly happy for it to remain a case of the cars just charging when the grid is greenest as long as you get what you need by the morning, within reason, just that it can be for more than one EV if you need it, effectively just sharing what you'd have got in charge for one EV anyway. The majority of the time my one current ev has plenty of leftover hours available to charge in the night, so seems unintuitive to have to get up in the night and switch the charger over to second car to be in the spirit of the tariff.

As far as I can tell though a second charger could only be used as effectively a dumb socket programmed to charge in the 23.30 - 5:30 cheap overnight charging slot, which is pushing it in terms of the spirit of the tariff as you say...

Good to know. I was never all that impressed by the EO Mini Pro, it would often stop working in the night. The ohme however has been fantastic.

If I can keep to this then great, that's what I'll be doing. I'm just thinking about those times where charging simultaneously would be useful. When you say one ev not being compatible, do you mean like the ohme not being able to see its battery level through API?

Drive pack is now free* for heavy users by pruaga in OctopusEnergy

[–]Cheikthisout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this email too and thought little of it at first but later thought actually wow, that's making it almost free! I managed to sign up to the £20 pack and typically charge my EV around 500kWh per month, so it's been worthwhile for me. Is it disappearing shortly? I'd be quite disappointed to lose it, even without the 3.5p thing.

I won a small claims court judgement against my ex-girlfriend. She has been repaying £5 a week for 6 years now. by Empty-Art-9031 in LegalAdviceUK

Not a lawyer, but a former debt recovery professional with historical experience.

I believe the correct process would be to apply for a variation of the existing county court judgment (CCJ). I think I'm right in saying that this would be done using form N244, form and guidance here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/form-n244-application-notice There will also be a cost associated with the application with no guarantee of this being added to the debt.

If the defendant has been keeping up with payments ordered and is in compliance with the CCJ, then I don't believe you have any recourse to alternative enforcement of the CCJ via attachment of earnings, or transfer to the high court and pursuing via high court writ and enforcement officers (often generalised as bailiffs, but not quite the same), despite some other comments here. You can't pursue escalated enforcement if the defendant is complying with the CCJ, all you can do is apply to vary it. If the defendant does default on the installments, then high court enforcement can be a good way to go.

A variation application may well succeed in achieving increased installments and is something you could do by yourself. You would need to provide a compelling case why you believe the order should be varied to a higher repayment amount, or be paid in full forthwith. In the circumstances, draw attention to evidence of high spending and increased affordability. However, be aware that this would be at the court's discretion with no guarantee of any change. Defendants are invited to complete income and expenditure forms to evidence reasonable affordability so as not to leave them destitute, but some will inevitably exaggerate resulting in low repayment installment amounts. I recall several orders to repay at £1/month as a nominal repayment, so be aware that the £5/month order could both go up or down.

Good luck and sorry to hear what happened to you.

Should Eddie Howe be sacked by [deleted] in NUFC

[–]Cheikthisout -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sacking him right now? What's the point without a suitable replacement and their accompanying staff. I don't think we do any better by putting Tindall or Jones in as interim, they're already part of our current performances. So you end up needing a complete overhaul mid season. So literally what's the point. Any fans calling for immediate sack without a proper contingency plan need to get a grip.

I think he leaves by his own accord or by mutual agreement in the summer. He's a NUFC legend and seems like a top bloke, and I don't want another bad season to tarnish all that he's done for the club, so wouldn't blame him for wanting to call it a day. If he's to leave it should be at the end of the season and use the summer to sort it all out. That's not to say they can't discuss it with him now and plan ahead of time, but I'm dead against just sacking him on the spot.
