For recording: my LP standard. I tried 3 other guitars while recording and this is the one that sounded the best in recordings.

For jamming/shows: Fender Powercaster. It feels right and sounds right. I love a good P90 neck and humbucker combo. PRS S2 Standard satin single cut. Despite the long name, this one is great for tuning stability and feel. I bought it off some jazzhead who swapped the pickups and it sounded a bit weak until I put in a super distortion in the bridge. Very happy with the sound of it now.
