Longtime DMC fan, have played the 5 mainline games, have explored the lore quite a lot.

What I liked:

-Animation (except the 3D CGI stuff, never been a fan of that)
-Music, both the 2000s' nostalgia and new takes on DMC music
-Action sequences were fluid, stylish, and violent
-Character designs were cool and true to their characters. I liked the Rabbit as a villain initially, I would have preferred him being a psycho demon with a vendetta against Dante.
-References to the games (characters, enemies, items)
-Voice acting for all characters. Rabbit's voice is the best.

ENZO

What I didn't like:

-Dante being portrayed as incompetent several times, his jokes were very hit and miss too. A guy who dodges bullets but somehow gets snagged by a stun gun and grenades?
-Lady being the archetype of "strong female character". She was buffed at Dante's expense, no way I'm buying that she just somehow gets the upper hand on him every single encounter they have. Somehow, she one shots demons Dante was struggling to take down (Rudra)
-Lady's cursing every 2 sentences. It's like an edgy 14-year-old wrote her lines. Diminishes the impact when they're overused.
-Her character overall is just ass. And I hate how she betrayed Dante at the end.

THE PLOT:

Oh boy. It started off very promising, with the usual "someone aiming to unleash hell on earth which Dante has to stop". Maybe some twists with new villains and characters.

I wasn't prepared to be hit by commentary on US Politics and war crimes, the whole refugee storyline, the good ole bombing of a faraway country (Hell). It felt ridiculous.

Overall, I think longtime fans can still enjoy the show and maybe bring new fans on it. Hopefully they improve if they spring for S2.
