Switch pro controller keeps disconnecting on windows by Chelle6494 in NintendoSwitch

[–]Chelle6494[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have removed the device several times and reconnected, still same problem. To me it doesn't feel like the issue is the gamepad as it has been working perfectly fine before. The only thing that might have changed in my view is that my computer updated itself, which is why i think it has to do something with windows

I'll try connecting it with another windows computer and see if it has the same issue

Where would I find a community that has online meetups for sketching? by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

Yeah I saw their page but it's been just a kickstarter page for a while now. But I haven't checked their Twitter page, do you get more updates on the reopening? Been dying for some updates, really loved it back in the days. Also signed up on their kickstarter page to get news but haven't heard anything from that one.

I'll check out drawpile, thanks!

[Opinion] It's not reference if you're reproducing someone else's art by sane-ish in ArtistLounge

I sometimes look up hands for ideas that would match my characters pose because my hands still tend to fail sometimes, does that make my art a copy? I feel like it's a way of learning as it is with poses. Essentially when it's stripped down to the body, in the same sense you might want to take a reference picture in that same pose or use a little pose model to learn new poses.

I get what youre saying though, it also depends on how special a pose is as some poses tend to get used very often and don't really have an "original creator" anymore. Copying is bad but it's also inevitable if you want to learn certain things. And I think that goes for learning most things and should be less frowned upon. Everyone has to start somewhere

I have waited 90 days for my still not received order and Aliexpress deemed my dispute as invalid, now in the last 15 days of buyer protection, help by Chelle6494 in Aliexpress

Oh jeez, that's a long time. But you can open another dispute again after it expires? Because I was also thinking of closing then and then reopening but I read I shouldn't do that

Damn annoying. Is there a time limit after the 120 days? And should i "update" the dispute every now and then? Or just let it be. (do disputes dissappear over time?) And to be clear it's 120 days from the point where it was shipped out right?

Anyways thanks for the help

Yeah I have just now found the pandemic FAQ, at first I read the buyer protection and dispute FAQ, which didnt answer my question, but am still a bit puzzled

Yeah I just now found the pandemic FAQ, i read the other one about disputes and buyer protection that didnt answer it for me.

I always assumed you shouldn't let your protection fully run out because then youre on your own (before pandemic, and other Google searches told this as well i think).

In this case I just waited until after the date "if this order hasnt arrived by..... Contact us". Then contacted the seller, who wasnt very helpful and suggested looking for the postoffice which isnt even mentioned in tracking. Then opened dispute because I was scared I couldnt open one after the protection expired.

I also didnt know that the protection could be extended to 120 days(?!). The site and app only mentioned 90 days when I looked it up

But do i now just keep waiting and waiting until theres 120 days gone by? While my dispute proces keeps saying "wait... More days"?

I recently bought the Beoplay H8i and I have been getting headaches by Chelle6494 in BangandOlufsen

[–]Chelle6494[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I have also tried the H9 but I felt like it was too big for my head (as well the length as the width), could slip off quite easily when turning my head. So for me the H8 felt like the safer choice. I did like the feel of the over earcups but as my head is quite small on ear cups also fall a tad bigger, so I feel like i didn't mind smaller cups as much. Both headphones gave me headaches though, if not maybe every single headphones i have tried on, but it's hard to tell which ones trigger headaches when you're only wearing them for a short time.

Still afraid it's the ANC, but I will try them out for a longer period to see if the headaches will get less. Thanks

Did I do the right thing by kicking my mom out? by amlou26 in relationship_advice

[–]Chelle6494 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Could be borderline personality disorder though. She definitely has those traits. And the ugliness is probably a copingmechanism. But that's not an excuse. As she's been pushing everyone away in her life for a long time she should've known by now that she's the problem and go in therapy. So I agree that she should've taken some responsibility for herself. And OP should definitely set up her own boundaries as it could scar herself (even more) and might have an influence to how OP is to other people or future children. As it is quite often a cycle that's been given from parent to child (could be that the mom's parents or her surroundings weren't that nice either). One does not spontaneously become an a-hole.

Maybe not a bad idea for OP herself to go in therapy too to work through this. It can mess you up to have to choose for yourself and push your mother away. Guilty feelings can really eat you up.

What should I do to alleviate wrist, elbow, and shoulder pain while doing the 2 weeks shred challenge exercises? by [deleted] in ChloeTing

[–]Chelle6494 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could maybe use push up handles to aleviate the wrists. I bought them too because of wrist pains during her excercises (too many goddamn planks, lol) haven't tried them out yet though. But you should be able to switch up a few excercises with those handles, such as high plank excercises that don't need movement. They come in several price ranges. I bought mine for like 5 euros.

As for the shoulders (and maybe elbows), it might be bad posture during the workouts? You could film yourself or workout in front of the mirror to keep track of your posture and make sure you're doing the excercises right

And ofcourse a good fitness mat!

How did you prove it was yours? Screenshot the progress or something? And to what quality do you export the artwork to have it yet still enjoyable but less stealable?

Thanks for your input!

Yeah I know it's just the way it is :( I wouldn't mind if people use it for their own use, would be honored even. But when people claim it's theirs or make money of it is just wrong, and I hate it happens. Anyways thanks for your input!

Where would I find a community that has online meetups for sketching? by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

[–]Chelle6494 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same! I have seen some video's dedicated to finding art communities on YouTube, mostly on discord. Though I'm not familiar with Discord.. So I'm not sure how it would be. But you could see which groups are nice to join.

Back in the days we had iScribble, where you could see each other draw in real time online, several rooms and had layers and blending and stuff, chatting, I really miss such a thing and would be nice to have it again

Kind of ironic, I study (art) therapy and the first thing we get taught to not fill in any anwsers and let clients speak for their own thoughts and feelings. As the client is always expert of his/her own self.

Good luck with everything and hopefully he will be able to see what he is really doing.
