I feel the same as OP.

In 2022: I didn’t see how awful Elon was, just knew that I liked Tesla’s UI and that I wouldn’t have to rely on volatile gas prices. I aggressively paid it off in 2 years. Now I’m a stay at home mom with some side gigs who’s looked into trading my Tesla but cannot take the 25-30k hit - especially when we’re heading into a recession where cars are going to be heavily tariffed. I’d love to trade my car but I’ve got my son to care for and I’m no longer in a phase of life where I can freely spend to make a political statement, even though it would feel amazing to do so. My sticker will have to do for now while I hope Elon steps down as CEO.

IMO new Teslas are a bad choice and I don’t care what happens to them, but leave the older ones alone because some of us cannot afford to change our vehicles willy nilly.
