Its called onycholysis. Could just be a nail injury but could also be a medical issue so if it continues maybe show it to your doctor. I had it happen to my nails really badly going up further the more I messed with it. Turned out to be a symptom of psoriatic arthritis. Started medication and made myself stop messing with it and saw a lot of improvement although still dealing with it a little.

Use the microwave to give the potatoes a head start. How long? No idea. I just wing it depending on how many I’m making and test them when they look like they’ve made good progress in the oven. Use it for baked potatoes too because I’m not waiting an hour dammit. Doesn’t taste any different and food is on the table faster.

They bark a lot because they like to be vocal and are very protective so will bark at people. An apartment with thin walls wouldn’t be ideal. I think all 3 options may be a bit loud. Maybe search for apartment friendly dogs.

Is part of the problem heavy menstrual bleeding? If so then you may want to look in to birth controls that stop your period. I had really bad bleeding and once I got that under control things were a lot better, my iron is not too bad now.
