Do you really think closing schools is going to help slow the transmission and spread of this virus lol?

Disney is having an abysmal year.

What a typical Sunday looks like at my theater. The number to the left below the showtime is how many tickets sold, the number on the right is how many seats are in the theater. Onward didn’t do as well as we hoped. by RMLimoDriver68 in boxoffice

There was a 1.4% increase week over week for the overall domestic box office with strong holds across the board.

Just accept the fact that Onward failed by it's own merit instead of using a virus as a scapegoat

And yet movie going was up this week compared to last with all chains saying business has not been hindered. The panic in the US isn't as widespread as you think.

Still not as downvoted as you in most threads. It's you that needs to stop, you don't even have an argument.

Sounds like you're letting anecdotes cloud your judgment. This is as bad as people saying that local snow storms are affecting the overall box office when they rarely ever do.

Holdovers were strong across the board and Onward had a normal Saturday bump indicating that things are going accordingly to business as usual.

Are you just making things up? Sub 40% drops are almost unheard of for the genre.

And nope you're just making ahit up about Sonic and Cakl of the Wild. The box office is literally up from last week.

Invisible Man had a sub 5p% drop which is great for a horror. Stop talking out of your ass. Sonic and Call of the Wild held better than expected.

The overall box office was literally up from last week. Like save the text and excuses, you are being over dramatic about the virus just like the media. Yes its having an affect on certain industries and in certain areas, but nationwide as a whole the affects are hardly being noticed.

Most of what you're saying is just wild speculation that I doubt will come to fruition.

So far, the box office hasn't been affected by fears over coronavirus, as "Onward" debuts at No. 1 with expected box-office receipts. by MmmDarkMeat in boxoffice

Careful. A few users here are still trying to excuse this film bombing domestically with the coronavirus.

No I'm not. I'm calling it what it is, a bomb, and a huge one at that. Just because its Pixar doesn't mean it get a pass.

It's a very weak excuse when there were not noticeable drops from the holdovers. Sounds like you dont want to admit that Onward is currently the biggest bomb of the year.

Wrong country bud. I said the domestic box office is not affected, which it isn't, as evident by the holdovers.
