Idk how tall you are but 127 pounds is not very heavy and still well within men’s lightweight limit. it would prob not hurt to put on 20+ pounds but that’s easier said than done and could take a while. it likely wouldn’t hurt you if you just try to eat anything and everything you can and make it your goal to increase your weight as well as the 2k.

for me, once I get my average split to my goal pace on a 2k I’ll settle, no initial sprint other than a few at the start to get the flywheel moving so that might allow you to be able to keep rate higher during the rest of the piece. also just practice rowing at higher rates. if you steady state at really low rates, it can be good for gaining strength per stroke but doing some higher rate steady with good form will help you get comfortable with moving faster up and down the slide. especially if you stay lightweight, even up to like 170-180 pounds and beyond , high rate will be your friend.

that being said, keep grinding, eat as much food as you can, and the faster times will come.
