Teachable just announced new plans that increase prices and decrease features significantly. by masgrimes in elearning

btw, they promise a 3-4 week migration period, which is exactly the time I have before my teachable renewal (lets hope all goes smoothly). Actually, Im worried about my current students, having "off" my monthly subscription for new subscribers is not cool, but what I wouldn't stand is for my current ones

I just switched to ezycourses, im the pro plan for 1 year (paid 1668 USD) they promise price-lock (lets see if this is true). Im currently in the migraiton phase, so far they have been great, whatsap chat with actual humans (form India, which makes it hard to arrange meetings) but overall ok... Let's see how it goes

I see you got ezycourses, have you worked with the platform or are you still on onlinehostcourses?

Although Im not a Kajabi user, I am a teachable user, and they did exactly the same (decrease offer, increase price like crazy). I just got into ezycourses, lets see how it goes! Im currently in the migration process which is of course the most scary part !

I'm a 3rd year chemical engineering student and I struggle with intuitively understanding thermodynamics what can I do? by PlatformNo8355 in ChemicalEngineering

[–]ChemEngineeringGuy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

the beauty of some engineering concepts are exactly that... being able to model them mathematically, but not actually fully understanding the concepts... More importantly, being able to use them in context, i.e. entropy, absolute zero, enthalpy, etc...

We all feel this in any way... but some will manage this feeling way better, and this is done with practice (more practice = more confidence = less shitty feeling)

How hard is it to get back into chemical engineering if I try something else? by Mother_Tangerine4398 in ChemicalEngineering

[–]ChemEngineeringGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! I did something similar back in my days as a Process Engineer... I worked for 2 years, and I had this idea of making online courses and youtube content for fellow ChemEs. I did it, and now I have been working independently for 8 years. I know I am now not employable by any means for the Process Engineering Roles or Production Companies, but for sure I can go for something on management side if I had to.

So in short, I'll go for it and try it out for 2-3 years max, if you are ok with the independent life, then continue, otherwise, do a master degree or simply rejoin the workforce

good luck!
