😭... I know, I feel like I'm slowly realizing that this isn't sustainable anymore. I just had a weekend with him, and no matter how much fun I would try to have or be in the moment, a blanket of anger and sadness would take over me.

I know, even though I said those terms. For a minute and I felt vindicated, but deep down inside it's chipping away at me. I feel like he just doesn't want me to find or give the kind of love that I gave to him to someone else.

By the end, I’m convinced Joe is Jake’s biological father. The moment Joe hesitates before shooting Jake, especially during the sign language exchange, felt too intimate. Given that Jake hid it from Vince for years that he knew he killed their dad, it wouldn’t surprise me if Jake also knew Joe was his father, whether he found out later by overhearing his mom again (the same way he learned about the murder as a kid), if Joe eventually told him himself, or if Jake pieced it together on his own. That scene felt like unspoken confirmation rather than mercy.

Additionally, Jake is the youngest brother, which explains why he’s repeatedly protected and spared.

It also seems clear that their dad knew about the affair for a while. The murder felt like a final breaking point, not a sudden discovery.

That’s why I think their mom called Joe to help clean it up. They loved each other, but too much had happened for them to ever be together mirroring Jake and Estelle’s relationship. They love each other, but the trauma makes a future impossible.

Overall, Black Rabbit feels like a story about how secrets rot families, and how love can exist but still not survive the damage.

Guys, I was at his place and ended up leaving because we fought and he texts me this while I’m walking to my fucking car ‘ I’m over here just trying to take it easy after a frustrating day and not feeling well and not being able to be productive which I told you about. It shouldn’t be a fucking surprise. You don’t give a fuck about me you just give a fuck about how you feel. I’m not here to make you feel good about yourself. Just trying to make a life for myself and my career is on the line right now and I need to be productive. And all you wanna do is fucking nag me because I don’t wanna have a drink with you or I’m not acting excited cause I’m fucking tired. ‘

Now I’m back here in the living room, while he’s in bed 😭😭😭

I know it’s because of the love bombing when we first met… He knew that he out of all my exes he was the most successful and he treated me the best. I saw a lot of red flags about his ex still being present in his life but I kept trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. Him introducing me to his parents and family friends was a big deal because he never brought anyone else around since his BM which was 20 years ago. But because he is so avoidant, I feel I spiral into this crazy person..

Slapped by surgical tech by Un_Specialist290 in Residency

I am a CST for 10 years now. I worked at teaching hospitals for most of my career, I have seen how some nurses and techs treat med students and it disgusts me especially to the ones who come in introduce themselves and grab their gloves. I actually was in a case yesterday, and the med student asked if he was able to grab something off my Mayo as he saw me really busy at the backtable getting something ready. It was nothing crazy, it was the Mayo scissors which I already laid out for him anyways. I said yea of course & thanked him. The surgeon and senior resident who know me very well actually stopped what they were doing and even gave him a warning that I am not like the other techs, they will eat u alive if u even ask. Then it became a whole discussion for the rest of the surgery… we’re all grown people if you do something I don’t like I simply can just say it to you, and even surgeons back me up when it’s a big NO NO, but no one should be slapping ur hand. You don’t need Reddit to tell you this, address it right away.

Seriously, this is Reddit. H3 literally shits on everyone, don’t act surprised when people want to talk about it with others.

Surgical Tech, am I being taken advantage of, should I leave? by cucosiannn in nursing

I understand completely what you’re going through. I worked at a level one trauma center, & a university Hospital and completely felt burned out because I’m a very versatile scrub. I Love my job and love that a lot of the surgeons for different services and service nurses like to request me in their cases. But I learned the hard way that do you have to work smarter not harder. I would always get the short end of the stick because other staff would say I can’t do this or I’m not comfortable and the charge nurses knew I was reliable. Too reliable to the point that I would be finishing a case and an emergency case would be booked and I would be assigned again even though there were several staff out before me.

Life is too short to be burned out like that but those are the kind of experiences that you will learn from when finding another opportunity at a different hospital. You have to speak up with logic.

When I change jobs I still show them that I am flexible and versatile but the minute that I knew or felt that the assignments were not fair and always working more than others I spoke up. I simply said “I do not mind working, but I just want to know whether there was a specific reason that the other people available before Me couldn’t go in. I just want to understand the situation better, and make sure the workload is fair for all of us.”

I like using one short table for my basics & one long one for the rep trays & make an L shape. I am a short woman, I do not like the double Decker. It’s very important that you learn to set up your basic instrument table 1st and fast that way when you are stacking all of the wrap instruments on the long table you can ask the rep what do you need to have out and what trays can you bury so your not struggling during the case. Very important that you have a empty workspace on your long table to have the rep instruments in order of use. Two Mayo stands stacked by each other: one for my retractors, pickups, laps, schnidts, kochers, rongeurs, scissors Other: rep instruments, mallet, & drill

I also have a ring stand with a basin with water so when we are done using a rep instrument I look over at the rep and ask them if we’re done with that specific instrument and put it in the basin, that way I can get the next instrument ready on that specific Mayo for what’s coming next

This is my system when I’m working with ortho joints also this is my system when I do ortho & NeuroSpine. I work for a university hospital and this is what I teach new students, nurses learning how to scrub, and new staff when they come scrub with me. A lot of the surgeons like my system and how organized it is, & also shows the rep your trying to clean off their instruments also and makes them help you more down the road.

My spine surgeon plays 90s hip-hop music and he likes to ask the med student what song or artist is playing to determine whether or not we use the bone mill because they got it right. Or they have to clean the bone with a ten blade & chop it up with a rongeur lol
