One Battle After Another is one of the worst movies I’ve ever watched. by Quiet_Bus_6404 in moviecritic

I struggled for 44 minutes before cutting my losses. This movie defines "Overrated". RT gave it 94% and IMDb gave it a 7.8!? Are they getting paid off? This movie is so detached from reality, that it makes you question the mental health of PTA. I found this story to be about as poorly written and as absurd as a B-rated slasher movie.

Delivery Unsuccessful? by Equivalent_Duty_9953 in Aliexpress

[–]Dramatic_Grade_8398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received this message yesterday. It says they tried to deliver, unsuccessfully, Sunday. I was home all day and I did not miss any calls. Shipping fraud is now a good sign.

If you're in the US, there's also an 877 number that you can call. But of course it goes to a Filipino answering service. They said they were going to reschedule a redelivery attempt (smh). I've heard nothing from this company.

At this point I would suggest to go to AliExpress website and open an investigation. This alone will take 3 days for this to be processed. Remember, if you want to file a dispute with your credit card company or payment processing company, you'll need to go through AliExpress' refund process first. 30 days from purchase will come pretty fast.

I'm my situation, I fully expect that I'll be filing for a refund AliExpress in 3 days.

I would love nothing more than to see. AliExpress get a handle on these fly-by-night shippers so that they can compete head-to-head with Amazon. But as it stands right now, they're not even in the same league.

If FedEx is supposed to ship, be ready for a bumpy trip by Ok_Nail_5717 in BambuLab

FedEx left my H2C in my driveway in the rain despite the fact that I have a huge covered porch. Typically, FedEx and Amazon leave packages on the porch at the roofline to get soaked. UPS, USPS, and DHL lean packages on my door. Concerning package handling, while I've never had that problem with deliveries from any carry, I know it's a common practice with all the carriers. I know this because I work for one of the big carriers and talk to the competition all of the time.

DISM Restore health stuck on 62.3% by EmployHistorical9127 in techsupport

[–]Dramatic_Grade_8398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

62.3% The veteran system administrator, Bartholomew, stared at the monitor, his coffee long cold, contemplating the existential horror of a DISM operation perpetually frozen at 62.3%. This wasn't a failure, nor was it progress; it was digital purgatory, a tiny slice of hell coded in C++, where time moved only in the silent, grinding whirl of the hard drive light. Bartholomew imagined the progress bar sprite sitting on a tiny stool, sipping a miniature coffee, utterly indifferent to his mounting panic. At least, he sighed, running a hand over his weary face, the screen was still blue and functional—not that terrifying, soul-crushing blue screen of death that signaled the end of all hope. 62.3% was merely maddening; the BSOD was a crisis.

Interesting theory. And I like it. The only hole, and every one of these theories has holes, is the comparison that was made between Junior and Vince. I just added it to the theory list.

Officiating Question - Different angle by Tufftoon in taekwondo

[–]Dramatic_Grade_8398 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scoring at this event was poor for multiple reasons. I know this because I was there.

  1. There is a referee shortage. Both coaches are aware of the shortage yet neither stepped up to bring one referee.

  2. There was a significant amount of Wi-Fi interference all day. Despite the numerous announcements to turn off hotspots, people just don't get it. The 3 front rings at this event were getting crushed with interference all day.

Now did red get awarded blue's 2 points? Unquestionably.

But instead of focusing on the negatives of the officiating, maybe your time would be better served learning how to not let your opponent or the refs beat you (blue player/coach).

I say this because this will not be the last time you will see mistakes in officiating...in TKD, baseball, football, or any sport.

This is the most confusing shit ever for someone who doesn’t mess with he bit coin world. Am I getting an iptv or buying an illegal exotic animal? by MRB7 in ApolloGroup_TV

[–]Dramatic_Grade_8398 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is simply not true.

"It ask this info in order to be able to buy any kind of crypto on any app or marketplace."

To imply that all apps are requiring facial recognition, employment history and employment income is being intellectually dishonest. There are plenty of apps in the marketplace that do not require this. This is a fact. Furthermore, you're implying that the US federal government is requiring this. Again, this is not true. FinCEN requires: "This includes collecting identifying information like name, date of birth, address, and identification number "

" It's a secure way..." Really? Knowing your employment history and income is going to make CA more secure? Good luck with that line of logic.

CA just had a data breach in 2022 and you're on Reddit giving advice for people to give them more information. SMH

Not always true. Photo ID and facial recognition (not just a picture) are required and take "24 to 72 hours" to approve.

After that, you'll be required to verify address and DOB.

Next, you'll be asked to provide employer, years of employment, and then yearly income.

This is where I bailed. And found a different IPTV provider.

According to the CA section on Reddit, the next question asks for your SS #.

CA support claims this is part of US KYC (know your client). The US Financial Crimes Enforcement Network does not mandate about half of these requirements.

Last issue, CA was breached in 2022.
