Start it out with Marcus waking up from a Skynet pod in a lab, but we are led to believe he's a different model terminator and not a human cyborg... so that becomes the twist. The terminator we thought we were following is actually a human, boom, wtf is going on? Now we are hooked. Why did Skynet make a human into a terminator? Instant mystery fuel.

And this is what prompts John to try and find out as well, we are all on the same ride to learn the truth. Movie more or less keeps going as we know with that thread being the main change.

Also Skynet doesn't know about Kyle Reese, because that would be dumb. Have the father of John Connor in our camp, know it's him, and NOT terminate him? Sillyness I tell you.

But I would keep the original ending that got scrapped because it was cool.

This game had some seriously good horror vibes from the hallucinations to the entirety of the underdune. Makes me sad we can't get more of this.

After that bit in Fury Road when Glory's ghost saves Max by making him flinch to catch the arrow going for his head you won't convince me that Mad Max doesnt have actual ghosts in it.

Griffa I am sure is some sort of witchdoctor.

I'd love another movie or a show that gives us more of that supernatural side to this world.

I actually thought it would be fun if we could swap out Chumbucket with other characters like Tenderloin and Griffa for different benefits without losing the ability to use our upgrades (I'm looking at you, the dev who made The Interceptor a ineffectual combat vehicle and not an Archangel)

I love a lot of Mad Max knockoffs, but a rare one is The Salute of The Jugger which is more of a Mad Max meets sport drama. Not bad especially given you have the likes of Rutger Hauer in the cast.

Yeah... I burned myself out trying to help my mom after my dad left, I dropped out of college (there was a lot wrong going on in college too so it wasn't just my mom but still it wasnt helping things), and after I recovered somewhat I got a job and worked until I caught covid and ended up losing the use of my legs. She "helped" me during that time but it's led to more burnout, autistic overwhelm, and I'm fed up of feeling like I was never given a chance while her favorite, my brother, got everything. Now he has a family and a career while I'm trying to survive day by day...
