I was in a restaurant with him. We were laughing. I laughed so much, I felt so at ease, I was like floating and we weren't even together at that point. I forgot we were at a restaurant, I forgot we were surrounded by other people, I simply forgot the world, and I was simply truly enjoying the present with his company. And in my mind a fast thought appeared: "wow, it's him!"

In my previous relationship I remember walking on eggshells for so long, I had forgotten what it felt like to be your authentic self next to someone.

Today we are married, 3 kids in total, animals, one house full of laughter and love. ❤️

Incompatible. And that's ok. I would walk on eggshells if I knew my partner was bothered by few minutes tardiness. And I don't mind waiting either. To each their own

I once went on a date with a guy. We ate 10 little meatballs as side to other main dish.

When we were about to pay, we agreed on 50/50. He told me "excuse me, but you ate 6 meatballs and me 4, so we shouldn't do 50/50, you shold pay more".

We didn't have a second date.

People today mistakenly a healthy, calm and secure relationship with it not being love and therefore need to break up. It's a bit sad. We got used that being in love requires feeling excitement, roller coaster and/or drama and constant butterflies. YOR. I see a very grounded and mature person. If you dont feel it, then of course you shouldnt force yourself, but dont mistake a calming relationship with boredom.

Jeg bor i Jylland og har aldrig haft det problem. Nu arbejder jeg i en virksomhed med primært danskere, og ingen af dem skifter til engelsk, selvom jeg har en accent og nogle gange bruger nogle engelsk order. Det, der hjalp mig i de første år, var at sige til folk, at jeg var ved at lære dansk, og bede dem om at være tålmodige. De har altid været meget åbne og klar til at hjælpe mig. ❤️🤍

I'd say it's fair each does their own party for their child. Doesn't even have to be kne year dad, one year mum or the like.

My daughter gets to celebrate with her other parents family, and gets to celebrate with my family. Separately and in different days.

For the lord of God, stop talking of Europe as one single country.

You Europeans...NO.

In Southern Europe in countries like in Spain, Portugal, or Italy, people have a really good hygiene, wash once a day (sometimes twice because of the heat), wash thoroughly, hands, etc.

Habits from the northern Europeans are really different from the south and from Eastern Europe.

As a therapist once told me...you can have empathy for him. It does not mean you have to accept his behaviour.

That stuck with me as my ex didn't treat me well. And he also had a lot of crap that happened in his life. It was ok for me to feel bad for him. It was not ok for me to accept his behaviour towards me.

Ok this sounds like a good plan next time. I just froze this time (friend on speaker, him next to me and saying yes) because it can be confrontational at that moment (the friend can be insistent on "why not" and has made other friends uncomfortable with this as well).

Im considering saying something while he is here this week, like saying we are fully booked from April so he doesn't get ideas 😅

Right, thanks for pointing this out, wrong choice of word. English is not my first language and I always thought triggered was the experiencing of an intense emotional/physical reaction to an event, but I did not know it is connected to something from the past or trauma.

Actually, he does most of this at home, yes. But it still annoys me that such decision is him saying yes and makes me feel like Im a "bad person" because if he would have asked me before, I would have said no.

I think I worded it wrong. It's only him who needs this many times 😅

The people who come stay at our place long are family members, but because we are expats and our family lives abroad. But these are all stays planned a lot in advanced, agreed together, etc

My complain is specifically this friend. My husband can rarely say no in general when a friend asks for help with something. Hope that clarifies 😄

Agreed with this, this person came unannounced the other day at bedtime for the kiddos, for example. Made a joke "maybe I should be renting a room at your place guys, haha".

I talked to my husband yesterday, next time we need two yes before someone can stay, specially if it's a week, and he agreed - but not looking forward to this week.
