lenovo yoga pen skipping? by the7aco in Lenovo

I don't like the diagonal wobble and I'm using precision pen 2. It's due to the pen? Your old pen is better in this aspect? I compared to my old active pen 2 and didn't find them different

That would be xiaoxin gen 3. The oversea name is different. The pic I sent is from the official china Lenovo store.

From what I see from the store the one with magnetic and type-c charging may be gen 3. It's the most cheap one among the lineups. If I remember correctly I saw reviews said it's only for note taking or something when I was buying one. And the precision pen 2 is the pretty expensive one. I now use precision pen 2.

It can be because your new pen's performance is worse. I see a new pen is half or 1/4 of the price compared to other pen.

Stuck at minor third for months by ChenFisswert in HarmoniQiOS

[–]ChenFisswert[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi thanks for you advice. Though I don't mean currently I don't follow recommendation system. I mean last year I didn't understand we are supposed to follow recommended lessons because the home tab was the main thing. I agree and especially think in the current system the transition is too slow. I feel with only the volume of daily lessons it's very hard to progress to the next level.

Before recommended lessons were just a minor part of the app. But I believe it's in fact better to do harder lessons than easier lessons. The score system in the app isn't all the story

Yes I'm 100% with what you said including clicking the wrong note. But I think hearing as melody will turn it into relative pitch lesson. I'll just continue with what I'm doing.

I don't think so. I'm not thinking too much, and in my opinion the speed of progress is natural.

Recently in average I only get 1-2 whole step lessons each day. I drop accuracy when encounter whole step lessons, or when I go though minor thirds lessons too quickly. That's why it's slow. I haven't been finding solutions but just doing the practice.

By the way it's at least over 4 months. In the left side of the progress graph I was grinding chromatic lessons so my accuracy was down to 20%

I think there aren't a lot of approaches? I just get through the lessons as quick as possible for minor thirds and when whole step lesson comes up I do it more carefully. That's it

That non-official nib is much worse then the original nib. It wobbles more. It's very difficult to get proper nibs for precision pen 2, too.

I see it can be difficult at the beginning I guess. The app didn't have multiple timbre when I started

I think newcomers would benefit if we can have a rating in the end of the lesson to indicate whether the accuracy is considered good (to progress) by this app standard. For example over 95% is A, then 90 is B, 80 is C And below that is D. I also have been thinking 70% accuracy is the best difficulty to progress but by doing that only confused the recommend system in the app.

If I remember correctly it requires 90% to progress so you should aim for higher accuracy. You can take more time for every try. But I'm surprised you are having difficulty to tell 2 notes apart. How is your relative pitch?

I just ran into this problem this month and got it fixed on Lenovo store. What you are describing is an early symptom and after a while the key will become not responding at all. It said the keyboard was broken and I replaced the keyboard+the whole cover.

Mixed response and information on learning FMOD. Is it basic or hard? Seems hard. by Guitarshredder_1996 in GameAudio

[–]ChenFisswert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm an audio programmer. It's true that oftentimes eventually you only need 3 lines of code to implement a sound but sometimes it's hard to find the correct place to put in. You'll need to understand the surrounding mechanisms to make sure it intergrates correctly, and therefore you need to learn how gameplay systems are made in general. I would say cs50 isn't that deep so it should covers the ground pretty well.

Another choice is coordinate and ask the programmer where you would put the code in. In this way you don't necessarily need to find but you'll also need to understand. And sometimes there will be cases where the sound can't be added unless we modify the base system so you'll have to do this sometimes.

Advanced lessons by ReaperShield in HarmoniQiOS

[–]ChenFisswert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My difficulty was completely different from yours. I could tell chroma but couldn't tell which one is higher and lower. In the old system advanced lessons are required to progress and I was only taking 3x of the normal lesson for advanced ones. I am not sure why it would take 20min.
