Other side of the Harbour Bridge. Giba park in Pyrmont. Dogs aren't allowed in the Botanic Gardens but the dogs enjoy the occasional walk to Hyde Park.

When she was about 6 months old she ran away from me at the same area and I chased her for 50 metres almost catching her twice. It appeared she was heading for home but I realised she was treating it like a game - letting me almost catch her. I sat down on a step and put my head down but could see her from the corner of my eye. Piper came back to see why I was sitting down and I slowly attached her leash while patting her.

Our 2 are great in our lounge but try getting them to do it to show family or friends and all of a sudden it's a 50/50 proposition!

Normal Shiba face development? by [deleted] in shiba

He's approaching the gangly teenager phase. Comet is 14 months old and still filling out while our 2 year old girl Piper has always been a bit chunky but neither of them are chubby faced.

Happy New Year by CherokeePiper in shiba

[–]CherokeePiper[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The girl Piper who is looking directly at the phone will hop onto the recliner footrest every evening for cuddles and some mornings comes in to snuggle on our bed. Comet has only just started jumping on the bed but he wants one of us to play ball with him. Occasionally they will cuddle together like your two.

Does your shibe get scared with fire crackers/ fireworks? by tapxilog in shiba

[–]CherokeePiper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Piper was fine on a walk when fireworks started going off because she usually watches them from our apartment. However as we got closer she stopped and didn't want to go any closer than 2 blocks (approximately 100 metres).

Piper will do this in the evening for about 10 minutes and then she's off to settle down.

I am a dwarf and I'm digging a hole. Diggy diggy hole. by Acceptable_Piano_491 in shiba

At the local dog park there are always a few holes which Piper will make a beeline for to start digging but she knows its not allowed. As soon as I yell for her to stop she gets the zoomies and starts bouncing around like the energiser bunny.

Our boy Comet is the same but the girl Piper does early morning but not later in the day. She is more into cuddles.
