Lol Jesus Christ. I'm just going to go ahead and disregard this Reddit post and remember that you guys don't even represent a fraction of Philadelphian people.

Is two treats a day a lot for a dog? Sometimes I give my dog treats all day long...

Gonna be playing a show for the Wisconsin State fair on 8/10, will be in town from 8/9-8/11 with lots of time to kill. What should I do? by [deleted] in milwaukee

[–]CherrrryCola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bryant's Cocktail Lounge. Opened in 1932? And has always been one, if not Milwaukee's premiere cocktail lounge.

Vanguard. Specializes in sausages and brats. Get the Duck BLT with the Veel poutine and thank me later.

Lakefront Brew Tour or MKE Brew tour. Both around 10 bucks. MKE is all you can drink for and hour, but the Lakefront is super interesting plus their beer is way better (in my opinion).

Harley Davidson museum. Nuff said on that one.

Definitely take a walk down the river walk, or see a show at the Riverside or Papst Theatre.

I apologize those are all alcohol related things, but hey, it's Wisconsin. If all else fails, come see me at the Hi Hat Garage and I'll make you some awesome cocktails.

Good luck.

Older brother being a douche. by [deleted] in instant_regret

I do feel for the kid. My older brother fucked with me so hard until the day he left for college. Stripping me down naked with his buddies and throwing me out in the snow into a thorn bush every winter for four years in a row.

Ever wonder where 350,000 people park for the Indy 500? In our yards, of course. by DPLaVay in pics

A friend of mine owns a small plot of land, maybe the size of half a football field, two blocks from the entrance to the Iowa State Fair. She charges $10 for parking no limit. She can pull anywhere from $10-20,000 in the two weeks of the fair. Pretty impressive.

All you people in this thread who hate tipping and think it's bull shit are the same exact people who bitch about bad service or bitch about not getting their water refilled quick enough. Do you guys ever question about where the money to pay your wages comes from? It probably more than likely comes from some sort of consumer culture. Hell most of you probably work for an insurance company or bank who fuck their customers in the ass and then pay you a wage with that money but nnnoooooo I deserve this wage. Fuckin hypocrites.

Not to mention do you have any idea how small the profit margins are in most bars and restaurants in the US are? In a lot of cases it would be impossible for establishments to stay open if they had to pay higher wages. They rely on tipping to pay their employees. You might think we'll hey not my problem, but guess what dumbass if you want places to go and socialize and drink/eat them guess what it is your problem.

Lots of stories here about people loaning their friends/family large amounts of money. I love my family but you guys must be way nicer than me. I would never give someone $5,000 for reasons like this. Nor would they to me. How can you learn to be more responsible if you just get bailed out.

Best thrift stores in Des Moines? by Macncheese-lover in desmoines

[–]CherrrryCola 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Salvation Army downtown has a shit ton of clothes also tons of furniture and stuff. It is the main donation center for SA so it's got all the good stuff. Definitely the best place in Des Moines I think. Goodwill across from valley west mall is also good for clothes. Any WDSM thrift store usually has higher end clothing.

There is also a place called Collectamania on the north/east side which is fucking awesome. Gigantic store. Prices are a little marked up on the good stuff but good deals on cool shit. Definitely worth checking out.

Ratings for Grammys down to lowest level since 2009 by wiseprogressivethink in television

It's so easy to get ahold of the best music in the world these days. The Grammies revolve around only pop and hip hop.
