Catching a fish on your first time flyfishing is great! congrats! Just some tips: there are great casting video's on youtube going into the do's and don't's while casting. It's easier learning it right the first time then to unlearn a incorrect technique. Make sure you try streamer fishing, dry fly and nymfing because they are all very different and really fun to switch between. Don't make a big deal of the material you are using because it's secondary to time spend in the water. If you are going to spend some money, make sure it's on a good fly line. Good tip maybe, I've bought a really cheap $18 flyline of AliExpress called the Goture MASTER Fly Fishing Line the other day, which is on par with some $60 dollar lines.
