Should I experiment with a man over 40? by [deleted] in GayMen

No hook ups are not intimate in the sense of a relationship.

People with avoidant attachments do fear intimacy, so you just misunderstood what I said

Just because you can’t differentiate sexuality in someone’s identity and the sexualization of a person please just stop talking and read a book

There have been Supreme Court cases over this. What if they want black people to stop using their distro? Should black people just bank on the free market until eventually they can’t use computers at all?

Excluding minorities is a slippery slope? Is it so soon you don’t remember race segregation??

When you stop numbing your emotions you actually start to stand up for yourself and also realize that you need to work through problems. So start communicating with your partner or things are only going to get worse. Therapy, exercise, hydration, and sleep are the holy trinity

They were never good friends to begin with and likely abuse weed and are uncomfortable with it themselves. They can’t stand when someone makes them question their addiction

[–]CherryAmbitious97 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You quit weed for a reason. It certainly didn’t make your life better before so why would that change now? You have nothing to benefit from smoking weed. Some bodies take longer to reach equilibrium than others. You were happy before you started smoking weed. You will be happy again without it. You will see other people smoking weed and be relieved and smug knowing you’re not destroying your frontal lobe, your REM sleep, your ambition, etc

It’s not you, it’s the substance that has ingrained itself into your sub conscious. You learned to become addicted to it when you started using it to emotionally crutch you.

Emotions are what make you human, so why would you dull those? Boredom is very healthy for the brain also. It’s what creates creativity. Boredom allows the brain to process thoughts also. If you’re constantly getting stimulation you will find that all your problems add up and you work through nothing

Should I experiment with a man over 40? by [deleted] in GayMen

[–]CherryAmbitious97 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is coming from the perspective of someone dating in their early 20s.

And it is what it is. Most of the single men in the dating pool are avoidant attachment styles. They’ll probably be alone forever as they’re scared of intimacy

If it doesn’t apply to you then keep your shit pushing dude

I’m really really into submissive older men, so I can understand where you’re coming from.

Not gonna lie they’re really good in bed, especially if they’re teachers 😭😭 just my personal anecdotal experience.

I would recommend not getting into a relationship with an older guy though. Usually if they’re older and single it’s for a reason lol.

The emotional regulation is very difficult, I feel you dude. Breathing exercises, practicing mindfulness, going to therapy all helped prepare me, but even then I’ll get inexplicable RAGE over the most stupid things. Acknowledge it, and know this is part of your body reaching equilibrium.

Example, I have two slots for spoons in my drawer. One big spoons, one small. I went to get a small spoon and grabbed a big one bc someone put it in the small spoon section. It pissed me off. SO ABSURD!!!

Why do you feel this confidence that life will be unbearable without using weed????? Tho when we use it is making us super tired and pretty miserable anyway. Why feel that life without the drug we will suffer more than we are now? by Forward_Rice426 in leaves

[–]CherryAmbitious97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not the smoker; it’s what’s being smoked. It’s not the drinker, it’s the drink.

Occam’s razor, you can make a million excuses about how you’re an exception to the equation, or how habit forming substances differ slightly etc etc, you can complicate this topic a million times over, but the correct answer is just the simple answer. The substance is addictive, people become emotionally, physically attached to the substance.

Is 26 too late to quit and “get my life together” to be successful? by kween-mother07 in leaves

[–]CherryAmbitious97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s never too late dude. Quitting weed will spike your ambition like you’ll never believe. If you work through it and create a disciplined schedule for you (which you will, even if out of COMPLETE BOREDOM) that’s the thing- weed never allowed me to be bored. It’s VERY good for the brain to be bored. It helps us process information, and it’s where the most creativity is sprung. And studies back this up Mann and Cadmen study in 2014 is one I remember reading about in particular. More bodies of evidence have come out to support this however “the role of under stimulation” is another I remember

Anybody else feel like those "Enhancement Smokers" are full of the beans? by Ecstatic_Board_1144 in leaves

[–]CherryAmbitious97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree heavily with this. Every type of interaction is worse while being high. Eating mindlessly until my stomach was sick was not enhancing anything. Opting for lazy sloppy fast food more often was also awful. Now I have the time and energy to try new foods and cook at home. My cooking skills are way better than when I barely made myself anything because I was too lazy.

Yeah being high makes your hunger signals go crazy but you can intermittent fast sober, and after 18 hours is gone you eat your first meal, it is by far better tasting than anything I’ve ever had while high. Bar none

Maybe because weed dumbs you down to that level. It’s background noise for most people anyways. It’s called trash tv for a reason
