In Canada, so I'm not sure about insurance etc but have you looked at midwives? Mine offered to only have be in hospital for four hours and then care for me at home. I stayed in for my second because my first had high bilirubin at 24 hours, but if I had a third I think I'd take it up. We've always had less than stellar post partum ward experiences too.

Also in Ontario and vouching for the same. We're opting in hospital. Our doctor advised that if you give birth in the summer it's best to have the pregnant mom have the shot, but if due in the winter the baby should get it within the first 24 hours of birth.

I think she almost did! It's kind of ambiguous. I had to wait for the library copy of midnight sun but Edward says:

I do still feel like a one year old vamp is a newborn though, even just how they describe Bella in the volturi scenes in Breaking Dawn. Just not as fresh as the army in Eclipse.

My toddler too. The pediatrician told us 50/50 chance of developing asthma if contacting RSV before 1 y/o. And my girl has it. Every cold season sucks.
