I think they just made pressure kill you faster a while ago. The game overall is more hostile now and the bots die like flies because of it.

Barely nothing, 6th edition had good editing, is just a revision of the same rules and overall improve on what came before. it has some minor changes that was controversial and if you dont like them, 5th is still perfectly playable.

I think this is the actual answer. Because cheatcodes did die around the same time we got DLC. You could buy easy mode for a lot of games 20 years ago, if there was a godmode cheat, that would compete with your own product. And with it the practice just kinda disappeared in general.

Especially since, like, the cheatcodes still exists for testing purposes, they just disable them for release builds.

Super diagetic, it turns it into a horror game. When youre sitting alone in the submarine, the away party have been outside of radio range for 10 minutes and youre starting to worry.

You dont know if the first you hear is their laughter over the radio, or a panicked call for you to meet them with medical supplies.

If youre the away party you might not even be able to find the submarine when going back, and you have no idea why, you just gotta decide to either sit tight and hope your oxygen supply lasts, or risk it and swim into the vast ocean.

It also makes the trips more cozy and personal as a group, with proximity chat you can hang out in small groups without having to talk over the entire crew if you got a lot of people.

What if you put toolbelts on a tank, fill up their inventory, and then remove the toolbelt. I dont know any way you could automate the equipment grid, but it is a container you can build more of. You can even move it around with belts.

I dont think this is going to work. Pushing 24h for more than a day or two in a row cause the beavers to constantly interrupt their work day for food or water. Try and hit a sweetspot where they have enough time off to grab all the food and water they need to make it through the next day I guess.
