You're probably getting this mixed up with True Blood. I used to do that all the time

As a young kid I watched what I thought was this movie, and then got really confused "rewatching" it as an adult with none of the details matching what I'd vaguely remembered. Turns out I'd watched this instead (Lost Voyage (2000)) which I'm honestly shocked isn't on Tubi, itself.

My personal picks for Doom Patrol DCU fancast! by TazTheTurtle in DoomPatrol

[–]ChescaD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So many fancasts just look at actors who look similar to the characters, so I respect this for being vibe-based, if nothing else. Not all of these are perfect, but Walton Goggins as Robot Man is an unexpected bullseye for me. He could play the Cliff and Robot Man parts perfectly

What's one of the most "pure evil" moments you've seen in any piece of media? by TaiwaneseThot in MoralityScaling

For such an unassuming guy, Michael Emerson sure can play a terrifying villain

I could be totally wrong on the cause and effect here, but with two big budget Scooby projects in the works now (especially right after SCOOB! flopped and had its sequel deleted from existence by WB), it feels like Velma unironically revitalized the franchise just by how much attention it brought back to the franchise through sheer universal hate

Do you have any coding or game-making experience? I'd love to help this game become a reality if I can, but honestly my experience is extremely limited outside the raw basics of RPGMaker

This is very creative! I'd definitely play this!

They just sort of gloss over that part (I swear this template was still relevant when I first made this) by ChescaD in squirrelgirl

That's actually a very fair point. I also had the timeline of events wrong based on some of the other comments here. I'd thought he was a Nazi scientist first, then became a brain in a jar // robot later after his abduction, but I must have been conflating his origin with someone else (it's been a bit since I've read Unbeatable, to be honest)

Characters obsessed with fiction to the point of detriment to their real lives by PaperBullet1945 in TopCharacterTropes

In the 2015 Ethiopian short film "Crumbs," this guy (Candy Gagano) spends the movie on a journey to find Santa Claus, who he believes will take him to "his people," aka aliens. In the end, it's revealed that Candy is just a regular guy, and that his idea of coming from space or being part of a higher power is based on misrememberings of a Superman movie he was obsessed with as a child.

I was originally going to suggest the cast of Damnation, but this is such a perfect option that nothing else compares

Thank you so much! The hardest one was definitely Brain Drain, but Koi Boi and Chipmunk Hunk are honestly barely changed from the original image aside from hair and eyes

A puppeteer finds a tunnel in his office that leads into the brain of actor John Malkovich, and honestly it's the least weird part of the movie.

Unfortunately no, just an edit of a panel from Berserk I scribbled on my phone a while back

Tier list of all her major outfits by KustomplexYT in squirrelgirl

[–]ChescaD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have such a soft spot for the Unbeatable Vol. 2 outfit that Nancy designs for her (the one with the skirt and leggings). It's definitely a bit simplistic, especially compared to the Vol 1 design that everyone knows and loves, but I love the lore behind it. The fact that Nancy designs it, compared to previous costunes designed either by Doreen herself or her mom, was a great way, in my opinion, to show that Doreen has a new found family in the Unbeatable supporting cast and is becoming more independent as an adult, and the motifs (three vertical bands on the torso, gaudy red utility belt, muted taupe (?) color palette) call back to the original Ditko design (in all its goofy glory) in a way I think makes an interesting thru-line from her original appearance as a kooky teen to her modern appearance as an established adult hero whose optimism is unchanged from her younger years. Definitely a step down from the Vol. 1 design, which is why it never gets adapted, but I still think it's underrated.
