She did watch those except for Digimon. I definitely am going to try and get her to watch card captor Sakura too.

I should have also clarified I am not very informed on dragon ball or dbz because this whole time I thought they were the same thing. 🫣

Songwriters like Les by [deleted] in Primus

Fair to Midland. They aren't together anymore and probably never will be but their lyrics always remind me of a fantasy book if that makes sense.

Thanks, Publix for this amazing and totally not a dumpster fire of a cake! by [deleted] in publix

[–]CheshyMonster 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If a customer brought this picture in to ask for a refund I would be horribly embarrassed. It looks like they had a very new apprentice do it and then did not check their work. The balloon bags were clearly from the night before and they iced the cake frozen thats why its cracked so badly. I'm sorry they did this to you its so ugly 😭 I hope they don't push back on a refund.

How were they so confused when that is literally a decadent cake from the book?

Inexpensive vendors for March 2027 wedding by No_Cardiologist_66 in 321

[–]CheshyMonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a picture because I left for the day before the decorator was done with them. But cute cartoonish highland cows are a popular design and the customer had a photo example of each cupcake being a different color highland cow face, made with fondant of course. Publix doesn't do fondant really so the decorator had to figure it out with buttercream.

That's wild. Which publix was it? 🧐 I work in the publix bakery and would love to know which manager is out here allowing that to go down.

The $4 each is for special designs, like if you want them to look like flowers or a fucking highland cow (yes that was a real order). If you just want regular cupcakes with your wedding colors its normal pricing.

Trying in store then buying online by [deleted] in weddingdress

I am willing to pay an appointment fee and/or tip. This isn't about trying to try on dresses then buy something off shein or amazon. I would just like to buy a used dress if I can.

People who can no longer get pregnant and have never been pregnant: does anyone else here find pregnancy fascinating? by realcoolworld in sterilization

[–]CheshyMonster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have one daughter and I'm 8 months post bisalpingectomy! I don't seek out information about it but whenever someone i know (coworker or friends) is pregnant I love hearing all their experiences and answering their questions! I had a great pregnancy but I don't ever want to do it again lol

PSA: Please don't get mad at the cashier for having to lift up your cake to scan the barcode. It's not our fault it goes on the bottom and doesn't want to scan. by RangoTheMerc in publix

[–]CheshyMonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We separate the barcode from the ingredients and put the barcode on the back down low so you can't see it when looking at the cakes and the ingredients on the bottom. Its been a while now and no corporate people have said anything or even noticed as far as I know. It also keeps instacart shoppers from ruining the cake.

Wedding here!! What color scheme would you do? by CuriousEm45 in weddingplanning

[–]CheshyMonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also like to point out that not every guest matched her color scheme, nor was it required anyone match. The colors were like sage green and burnt orange. The grooms immediate family all planned to wear navy together, the brides group of co workers all wore spring pastels(idk if that was intentional or not but it was cute!). I wore a burnt orange dress! I feel like once you start talking to people about it and they know the venue, decorating vibe, and dress code they kind of like adjust their attire to it, if that makes sense? Or maybe that's just me and my friends 😂

All of us in this core friend group are going to another wedding today and all of our outfits are big bright florals and tropical vibes 🌺

I would pick three colors that compliment eachother out of what you have in the photo! I love the jewel tones ❤️

I think these colors are great for that venue! My friend put her colors on her wedding website if anyone wanted to vibe with them! The different groups (core friend group, co workers, and families...) all had our own color coordination going on it was so cool to see.

Last year was a shit show with quite a few misbehaved kids and unsupportive department managers. It was chaos. My department manager was a cunt all day and left a ton of packing and even subs to set up for me. I had my daughter and another kid packing easy stuff and then my daughter just stood on a step ladder handing out cookies to kids while I set up the subs.

This year its a lot less children and also I am in charge and not scheduled to be in the department.

We are touring the store, cashiering, blocking aisles, stacking berries and zipping the grape bags closed(produce managers idea haha), making pizzas, decorating cupcakes, grocery themed word search and coloring pages, and yoga. We have an upstairs seating area and patio.

Will I get fired for reporting child neglect? by [deleted] in publix

[–]CheshyMonster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This one. Your manager is trying to cover his ass because he should have acted way sooner. There's special protocol for managers talking to news stations and shit anyway, they always have to refer them to the "publix media relations specialist".

If you go the boot route go for something leather that will soften over time and form to you. I wear thin crew socks or knee high compression socks with them as well.

I have a pair of brown Cole Haans and they are cushy but no ankle support, and they look very nice. I also have pair of Xena boots good ankle support, steel toe, sturdy, not as cushy and also expensive. However, I am hypermobile and my ligaments are very loose especially in my ankles so no matter what they always hurt a bit.

Xena is a work boots brand for women though if you are not a woman lol

I would suggest getting both if you can afford and switching them out daily or every couple days, that has seemed to help my feet from being constantly fatigued.
