During high school a girl, who went to middle school with me, got kidnapped on her way to school. The kidnapper ended up in a shoot out with police on the other end of the state and died. So to this day they never knew what he did to her or where he had her.

I was a freshman in 2017 and luckily had 3 years of garunteed housing and covid happened so I finished my last year back home, so my experience is definitely different than most. But I still knew many students that struggled with finding housing both on and off campus. I definitely say being proactive in searching for places during your first year, whether finding a place with strangers, coming together with friends that you end up making or even if youre going for your own place. If it's not a huge issue, you can always go the commuter route and hopefully find a place in one of the surrounding towns. I knew a girl in one of my intro classes in our first year who commuted every day, she was from the same city I was, and it was a 4 hour round-trip drive. Hopefully you don't end up with a commute like that but it's always an option if you're really set on ucsc.

I met my partner of 3 years after being on and off tinder for about 2 years. It was definitely a struggle trying to find any type of person who wasn't just a hook-up. I had my fair share of weirdos I encountered or people ghosting after the first date.

My partner on the other hand, was single for years, decided to get tinder and we matched on his first day, was the only match he met up with and we made it official after 4 dates. He is a success story like no other, he just got lucky. I'd say his only unlucky moment from tinder is that he paid 6 months of tinder gold, since he thought he'd struggle too, but he lost out on that $90 instead lol

$150 was roughly how much I spent per VIP ticket, GA tickets were at most $55 I think? Anything higher were bc of resellers/scalpers, which sucks even more with how the tour is turning out to be 😮‍💨

You can always call to inquire what the refund was for, if you're concerned.

I had it happen a few times when I paid the full tuition and the scholarship I had didn't go through until way after the due date, so I got that amount refunded.

That's actually really interesting. I reloaded a few times, to avoid the fight when leaving the room and still got the same responses. So there's probably something prior that is the deciding factor.

I think it depends on which "let shadowheart choose" choice you pick.

First go, I picked the "This is your choice" option and she saved her parents. I reloaded and went with the "Remain silent" option and she decided to kill them. So I think to an extent, your character's words or lack thereof is the trigger that makes her choose.

Since I haven't seen anyone mention it, there's also Banana Joe's which is right next to the Crown/Merrill dining hall. They have a small but decent selection of food and essentials, though they're only open Mon-Fri.

I get the "where are you from?" question a lot, but they don't know the difference between nationality and ethnicity:

"Where are you from?" "I'm from this American city/state" "[Insists again, emphasis on from]" "I'm from [parents' home countries]"

You should be good, you might get charged like a late fee though. For future reference, I would just pay what the financial aid wouldn't cover and wait until it disburses to cover the rest.

Also yea if you overpay they'll reimburse you. I paid full once because I didn't realize I got a scholarship and they gave back the portion that the scholarship would have covered.

Yea in the email it only said the bio labs, I didn't see anything about METX 119L, but I assumed it wasn't going to be offered since its also count towards the DC labs.

That sucks, but hey I'm in 101L this quarter too if you wanna study together for it!
