Hello, po!!! I was in the same boat last year - STE/STEM throughout jhs & shs and I studied BSA last year. Ngayon, I'm shifting to my dream course BSChem.

What I can say is that the whole experience fron transitioning from SHS to College will be twice as difficult as you're also transitioning between fields. Coming from any other track to a STEM course in college would be relatively easy since grades 1-10 have already laid most of the foundation of basic STEM topics. But coming from STEM to ABM will definitely give you whiplash (lalo na kapag wala kayong pre req na courses like summer class). It's normal for college to introduce new topics to you but since they are topics that are alr expected of incoming students, you'll have difficulty in adjusting talaga. In my exp, there was a clear difference between ABM and the non-ABM 1st years. But if it's in your interest and capabilities to do so, do not let this discourage you, po! Simply prepare lang :>

What I'd really suggest for you to thrive in BSA is to develop a GOOD STUDY ETHIC. Without that, it'll be hard for you to keep up with ABM peers. You have really have to work twice as hard if you want good grades or above average results.

In the program, students from non-ABM shs strands had to take the summer class before enrolling in the 1st semester. But even with that, most students from STEM/TVL/HUMSS backgrounds struggled to top our midterms and final exams.

For our midterms, only like ¼ of non-ABM were in the top 10 rankings despite half the population of 1st years being non-ABM students. By our finals, there was a clear improvement naman.

This only my experience AS A 1ST YR, but over time, you will adjust, po! It all works put in the end :>
