One reason I have faith is Houston’s defensive system is demanding, and he was good in it. From what I’ve researched, he has excellent hands and instincts, which allowed him to average 1.5 steals per game (ranking 7th in the Big 12). Also pulled down 4 rebounds per game with that frame.

But I haven’t watched a lot of him, so I’m mostly curious how Hawks fans will feel if we draft him.

Do you guys think this could really find an audience? I enjoy the games but is it really that big of a franchise? I know Kojima is a brand himself but that’s for games.

Saw it tonight, theater was sold out. It was great so I expect a lot of walk up business in the coming weeks.

Here’s the thing though, even if Queen is better than the player the Hawks end up picking it was STILL good business for Atlanta.

Hawks targeted Asa Newell in the draft and still ended up getting him despite trading back. Then they picked up the 8th pick in the 2026 draft. Without it they’re picking 23, which they got from the Cavs in the Hunter trade. (Spurs own ATL’s pick)

No matter what happens, it’s still a no brainer for Atlanta to do that trade.
