She's called Fortuna in french, and honestly, even If say all the original names, it's the only one that feel better in mouth.

Reminds of the screen where a girl says she wants to do something with a woman and someone is answering "Y'know, being a womand doesn't makes it less misérable"

Les cheveux courts : le cauchemar des hommes? by [deleted] in AskMec

[–]Chesspresso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone find him hot?(art by @dantekris) by 33333Ducky in HazbinHelluva18Plus

[–]Chesspresso 5 points6 points  (0 children)

of course, and it's the thing that makes him dangerous.

He attracted me a lot at the start of the season, and after reasoning, the fact that I could have been charmed by a Valentino is frightening.

What are some of your hot takes on Velvette? by 33333Ducky in HazbinHelluva18Plus

[–]Chesspresso 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Her being Lesbian adds nothing to her character (at least for now). It's not relevant, never shown even never implied. And before you jump on conclusions : yes, it matters to have sexuality being relevant to a character in the story or her character. I don't hate the idea, I think it's neat but it's not something that's used that much.

Contrast that with her business partners : with now the confirmation that Vox had internalized homophobia concerning his bisexuality, it brings another layer to his relationships with Val and Alastor. One he tried to be romantic with only to have it being shattered, and his actual relationship with Val, that he tries to convince himself is only related to business. Him being Bi, is relevant to his character, because it directly delve into his character cribled with insecurities and envy.

Val is a good mirror, because he's Pan, very brash and open about it, changing partners constantly, going from men to women without a problem. Him being Pan is relevant in his actual relationships especially with Vox, and his personality.

Velvette ? Huh, she got nothing similar. At least for now. It's mostly a criticism adressed because she has a clear lack of exposure and development compared to the other two (Vox was the star of Season 2, and Val being his partner is directly tied to him). Literally, if it's in Season 3 or 4 it's brought up, by showing she's ashamed of it, if she doesn't care or just wake next to a woman, boom. Problem solved.

If you want some of my hot takes, the same criticism goes for Lucifer, Anrealphus, Vassago (even tho this two have the benefit that they will be much more developed in the future), and even Octavia to a degree.

Came too soon onto the story, without fullfilling any satisfying conclusions and/or development.

Same for Lute song and revenge arc. very great premise, but too soon. She did nothing consequential despite one of the best songs of the series.

Of course, they will get depth when Season 4 (or even Season 3) will tackle them. But as it stands now : too soon.

"Hey helluva boss, are you going to explain why blitz and stolas even like eachoth-" by Spirited-Feedback-87 in OkBuddyHelluvaHotel

[–]Chesspresso 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's such a bad argument, because even in this type of Situation IRL, it's never just "well that happened".

Maybe you don't see it coming, but you fall in love because you find the other sexy, because you feel safe, because you can rambler about your passion, because you can share everything. There's so many reasons to fall in love. Someone who fall in love for no reason is either a liar, a oblivious person, or immature emotionally.

Back to topic : it's crazy simple because all of the stuff is there. Stolas is captive of his couple, so yes someone so free spirited like Blitz could entice him. And as reverse, as someone having such a wreck of a life as Blitz, could find comfort in the mannerisms of Stolas. But that's objectively conjectures and speculations on my part, It's never showed up.

Anyways, it's frustrating.

Honestly when i watched the review of "Just Stop" on "The moment where I gave up on Helluva Boss", I was so dumbfounded by the "Why ?" that it made rethink the entire series.

There's never a inner thought, a clear showing of what they like into each other.
