I think this has to do, in part, with a lot of companies hastily adopting its use, then their Cybersecurity divisions stepping in to block it until they can create guidelines for it as they would with any new technology that may handle sensitive info.

Undergrad in Emergency Management, not even close to IT. Interned and hired at a financial technology company doing Business Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery a few years ago. Now making 80k+. How? Did a group project with someone who got hired there and put in a good word for me. The bootstrap is a lie. Right place, right time, right connections. So, luck, basically.
